    • This is DEFINITELY worth it, but know that it's anime.
This one, I definitely enjoyed it, and I might even put it above Batman Ninja, but please allow me to explain. Part of my vantage point is that I studied the Japanese language, and that exposed me to the daily life of Japanese people and their way of thinking. Studying Japanese was the first time that I ever saw a book about farting, and that to me was wild, but it is something that everyone does so it's not odd when you think about it. In book form, I did not expect it but it made sense and took the taboo out of it and it made a natural function a conversation piece. In saying this, I get their perspective in making these movies and mixing in elements of their history. In watching this, I took notice of throwbacks to some 80s animations, even a bit of the animation style from Kill Bill, Vol. 1. The character designs are exceptional, and while the animation style this time felt a bit more fluid and loose than Batman Ninja, it is knowing the history of Japan and the Japanese that makes me give this 5 stars. The DC lore is here so that is not neglected at all, but the singing that takes place, that is not usual for DC but the Anime style and the people who made this blended both quite well. Knowing that a majority of the Justice League was Yakuza made this even more of a draw and I am not disappointed, not even a little bit. ~ No Diggity, No Doubt ~ ... show more

    • Enjoyable Sequel
I enjoyed the stylistic change and tone of the original Batman Ninja movie, and was excited to watch this sequel. If you liked the 1st Batman Ninja entry, you'll have fun watching this one too. A little bit predictable in plot, but the animation and coloring were top notch, especially the nod to Japanese animation styles of the past. Hope DC continues to provide these novel takes on their characters as it's refreshing to watch. I wish the live action movies would take a page from DC's animated arm and see how to put together great story arcs, especially some of the clashes between titular characters. ... show more

So I keep falling asleep as I am watching this movie so I haven't see the ending yet. But it is another Batman movie to add to the collection. I'm still glad I bought it.

    • A marvelous fever dream
A literal all star japanese voice cast This movie is a big step forward from the previous entry Watching this had me laughing and cheering the whole time

    • A Wild Fun and a Celebration of Animation (Spoiler Free)
A fun sequel to Batman Ninja, this story is just as wild, but in my opinion, more fleshed out than the first. Set the morning after the end of Batman Ninja, the story's main premise is that this is the consequence of the characters' adventures (and meddling) in the past. Japan is now a island hidden away in the sky and storms with Yakuza raining down from the sky are a common occurrence. And the Justice League are all members of Yakuza Clans with Superman, Aquaman, Green Lantern, and the Flash being a part of one clan while Wonder Woman is a part of her own separate clan. Batman and Co go up to investigate and not only become embroiled in the battle between the clans, but also discover that there is a greater conspiracy brewing in the background. I really feel like they stepped up the writing all around with this one. Though it does of course suffer from having too many characters, so not all of them get a lot of attention. There's also a lot of easter egg-like nods and celebrations of Japanese culture and animation from different eras. Batman, Alfred, and the Robins, for example, are noticeably animated in a different style than the Yakuza League. Most likely to show that they are from different planes of existence as a result of everything going on in the story. The action scenes are all big, dynamic, and fun just as expected in anime. The story is much better than part 1, bluray is crisp and clear, excellent animation and story. Superman is the best, I love it. Nice try
