Locking mechanism on box using the keypad only worked for 2 weeks . Tried new batteries. Now you have to use the key. About 6 months ago ordered this type box from another vender and have had no problem with that box

It's not a strong safe. It works well to catch the end of shift deposits and is secure enough that someone would make quite a lot of noise breaking into it. For the price and temporarily holding a few hundred or maybe up to $1500, it's great. Employees total out and drop their cash deposits into the safe.
