I've been growing plants of all varieties for over a decade, but decided to branch into indoor gardening, this year. After a lot of reading, that mostly recommended either automated hydroponics or outrageously expensive options, I found this shelf on a steep sale. After assembly and testing, I almost immediately ordered a second. The lights are quality (and sold separately, if you already have shelving.) They feel durable and have already taken a couple accidental hits without a scratch. The shelving is... standard wire shelving. It's nothing special and many are already probably familiar with them, which isn't exactly a bad thing: you know what you're getting. They're packed a little weird, with loose zip ties just scattered in the box, but there was no damage to anything in either shipment. I did not use the included timers, though - I had a pre-existing smart home setup for timing. My single complaint is the shelves are a little narrow, at around 13 inches / 33cm. I installed the shelves with the outer rim up, which has interfered with some larger pot saucers, but... that's on me for installing them that way. I may eventually redo it all to face them down. The first shelving was spaced evenly, and has plenty of room for lettuce, arugula, strawberries... etc. Standard sized plants. The second shelving unit's mid-shelf was placed much higher, which leaves plenty of room for taller plants - I've used it for peppers, cherry tomatoes, and a blackberry plant, which makes the room left for the other shelves on the unit much smaller... perfect for seedlings. And, I may end up eventually getting one of those automated hydroponics kits for herbs, which would fit on the tops of the shelves. Honestly, very impressed with Barrina, here. For the future, if anyone from the company reads this, I'd love the optional greenhouse tent to be available individually. I didn't need one at purchase, but a cat found its way into my life after, and now a tent would be incredibly handy. ... show more

Started seeds and do far working well. Took a couple hours to set up but pretty easy. The lights are nice and bright and have to water seeds 2x per day. The shelf isnt as sturdy as I hoped and the brakes on the wheels Don work that well. However this has so far been a good starter for m first time using grow lights ... show more
