This is my third set of these Barrina grow lights as my seed starting hobby expands. I use rolling shelving units and two of these fit perfectly above each shelf. I love that they give you multiple ways to mount them and provide all that is needed. The only negative I can give you is that they do tell you that multiple units can be connected together (up to 10 of the 2 ft lights in my case) but not enough cords to do so. That said, they responded quickly and politely to my inquiry about it and resolved it to my satisfaction. I recommend these pretty highly. They've been a game changer for my garden. ... show more

I have Grow Lights on Plants, used them on Fish Tanks and now added these as accent lights to a Kitchen. I have been very happy with Barrina. I started with a couple other brands at the beginning, but I don't care how much cheaper the others might be, I'll only buy Barrina. No complaints about any of their products so far. I only wish the company sold some accessories themselves (clips, extensions, etc).. So you 100% know they match and don't have to shop around guessing that the specs are the same. ... show more

I’ve used these lights on my DIY hydroponic set up for the last year and it’s given me great results. They are strong enough to set fruit and bloom flowers. My plants grow nice and big with these. I also have them set up with some houseplants and they have been growing nicely also.

These grow lights are a good fit for my needs. This is my first time trying out hydroponics and I wanted lights that are easy to manage and move around to grow whatever I wanted. At first I was just growing lettuce and herbs. These lights worked very well for my needs and I had plenty of produce for a while. Then I wanted to see if I could grow tomatoes and strawberries with these lights. I was a little skeptical about the strength of these lights but I was wrong. Now I have four very healthy tomato plants and six very healthy strawberry plants growing at home. I'm using five of these lights currently and they aren't hot to the touch at all. Very satisfied and looking to buy more to expand my indoor garden. Will be testing growing peppers and cucumbers with these next. ... show more

    • Nice - good illumination, plants love them, easy to install, LIGHT weight

Quite nice - few months at about 12 hours per day and no problems top date. We are using to illuminate plant starter shelves. VERY lightweight, with plastic LED tube covers, so tough and very resistant to breakage. If you intend to make these adjustable (move around or varying heights) you will need to buy some small eye hooks or such to hang them from, as the sticky-back and screw-in and cable-tie mounting options they provide parts for are pretty much fixed in place. We used small eye screws into the bottom of the shelf above, then 1, 2 and 3" S hooks for easily adjustable height over the plants - though you could use string or new cable ties each move or such as well. Lots of suspension options because the lights are so light weight. The jumper wires allow you to daisy-chain them not just in a row, but like we are - 2/shelf, with jumper wires from one to the next on a shelf, then from other end up and down to other shelves to chain together up to 6 in a group. Makes wiring a snap. Word to the wise - do NOT be looking anywhere near them when you turn them on - VERY intense at close distance. Note these come in both natural sunlight and a very pinkish-purple light tube version (white light working well for us for flower and corn and tomato starts), as well as in different lengths and square block panels, so be careful you are ordering the version and size you want. Couple of things not covered in the otherwise fair instruction manual - the tiny 3-lobed pieces of white plastic are push-in covers to cover any unused ends not used by jumper or power cord wires - otherwise you have live powered prongs exposed at the ends, a major safety hazard they do not talk about. The about 3/4" long 3-lobed pieces are jumpers if butting two lights closely end-to-end, rather than using the longer jumper wires. Also - the tubes come with a saran wrap-like protective covering that you need to peel off the tubes (without yanking the end caps off with them) - instructions say nothing about that. ... show more
