Easy to clip on, stay in place even on a narrow clipping spot. The light is great and my light reader let me know it was appropriate levels for my plants and it wasn't nearly turned all the way up. If i decide to move it further away they will still get appropriate light. Very pleased with these. Might buy just the bulbs for some pretty light fixtures I have to use in my plant room. ... show more

    • Bulbs too heavy
TLDR: I don't hate it-light is great, but it's too expensive considering the short cord, timer, and instability of the gooseneck arms. The light output is great and the bulbs don't get hot. However, the bulbs have a weight issue: they are too heavy for the gooseneck arms making them "fall". There IS a work-around: I just hung them upside down on the wall (make sure to find a wall stud or use a drywall anchor) and angled the bulb at the plant. This shouldn't be necessary on a grow light at this price point. Also one of the bulbs has a timing reliability issue. Both are set to max for 12 hours, but one always turns off a couple hours before the other. Again, there's a work around: either turn the whole thing off, then back on and watch the time or move the switch on the bulb which will turn it back on. But, again, you shouldn't have to do that! If I had known I would have to wall mount them, I would have bought the white one. The black would have blended into my planters, but is just stark against the Renter's Ecru color of the walls. I won't return them, but I'll never buy another one. ... show more

The lights are as promised. I like the time option although 12 hours aren’t enough time right now because the sun sets later. But so far so good. My plants seem to like them. It’s early yet so I haven’t seen much difference.

    • VERY HEAVY Deep Ledge Required
I wanted to like this light. It's very bright, has built-in timers, and is dimmable. The best feature is that you don't dim in steps, you turn a dial and can get the EXACT light strength you want. But there are a few critical flaws that make these unusable in my home, and probably many other's houses: These bulbs are so incredibly heavy that the clamp cannot stay on any surface I've tried, unless you have a very very deep ledge with nothing below it. You need a good few inches in order to get it to not snap back off. I finally found 1 ledge that might work, but the lights were so heavy it was literally bending the edge of my desk. I didn't want to risk damaging my furniture. Another flaw: the goosenecks are so short that if you do find a long enough edge next to your plant: They'll be only a few inches from your plants and way too strong. You'll have to use the dimmer, so I guess this would fix that issue, but you'll still be lighting very low and to the side of your plant. Setup is easy, using them is great, but finding any furniture that has deep enough ledges to support them is nearly impossible. I couldn't find more that 2 pieces of furniture in the entire house able to hold them, and if they could: they'd flex at the end due to their weight, and be so short from bulb to plant, that the plants would get zero top light. The goose necks would need to be at least twice as long. But at that distance the bulbs would be far too heavy to support. The light design is very well made and the bulb design is excellent. There just needs to be some kind of adjustments done on the clip method and the length of the gooseneck. ... show more

Perfect little plant light. I love the fact that it hooks onto the end of the table with a clip. And the fact that you can adjust the dimness or brightness of the light. And you can also set it for automatic to turn on for 48 or 12 hours and then off again. It’s built into the light itself. I was very surprised and pleased when I found that. ... show more

Great product! I was thinking the light would go further out but it seems to work great and if you get a couple of them it’s even better! Really do love the product glad I got it and also there are replacement bulbs so you don’t have to worry about throwing the entire thing away after it dies
