After MUCH frustration trying to find effective lights for my BioActive reptile habitats that didn’t cost hundreds of dollars, I came across these. The plants in my habitats started doing SO MUCH BETTER that I bought more sets for my aquariums, houseplants and as a gift for someone who I built a snake BioActive Vivarium for. “Hobby specific” lights are LUDICROUSLY expensive. I absolutely refused to pay $400 for a Jungle Dawn light. These Barrina lights are slim, lightweight, have a beautiful hue even underwater, are linkable and my plants are growing like crazy. and OMG they end up being like 10 bucks apiece?! Sign me up!! In addition to all that, the company sends you multiple options for different sized links to attach them and sends you multiple options for mounting them: SUPER STRONG double sided tape that’s more than strong enough to hold the light, zip ties and metal hardware. It’s like if you bought curtains and they sent you every option of curtain rod, too. Really fantastic. So far, ALL of the lights have held up really well to the humid (60-80% humidity in the Vivariums) and sometimes even WET conditions. Some of mine are literally hovering only a couple of inches above moving water. I had one light bar burn out but it was ENTIRELY my fault… the temporary and strong “bubbler” I put in was directly under the light for a decent amount of time and it filled with water. I didn’t notice until it was too late. Again, totally an airhead move on my part. They also have an on/off switch on the power cord AND on each individual light bar, as well. Very smart. 👍 I’m in multiple hobby specific groups on FB where people are CONSTANTLY asking for recommendations on lights. I have a few paragraphs saved in my notes app so I can copy/paste the recommendation for Barrina lights. So, guys, if you have noticed a serious uptick in sales this last year… that would be me! Haha. Ive recommended them a gazillion times to Vivarium and aquarium enthusiasts. All around EXCELLENT product. Effectiveness, value for the money, durability… everything. I cannot recommend them enough! Buy. These. Lights!

The Barrina 2 ft grow lights (4 ct.) Or everything I hope they would be and more! The lights have offered amazing versatility in the way they can be strung together as well as used independently and also individually switched on and off with a separate switch on the body of the light itself. I've been using three of the lights strong together in a chain on a timer with the other on its own outlet that I turn on and off manually. This setup has been fantastic! I'm just an overall improvement in the bushiness of All of my plants and an increase in the size of my leaves. Additionally, the lights kick off almost no heat at all which is a huge plus as I live in Arizona where the outdoor temperatures regularly reach over 100° and air conditioning needs to be run most of the year. I did have one issue in one more or less neutral but unexpected experience. The issue was that I bought my lights from a return so the packaging was damaged and also one of the two supplied wall plugs did not function. This was quickly handled by customer support refunding me the amount to purchase an independent wall plug on their Amazon store. What I didn't expect was the lights being as pink as they were and when I received them this isn't a negative it was just something that was very noticeable compared to the lights that I was using at the time, I've grown very used to the new color spectrum and actually find it rather pleasing!

As of recent months my plant collection has grown beyond my control. I had been debating between several different brands. I ultimately decided on this one because the 4 strands of lights fit my needs, as well as the 2ft lights. Unfortunately, these don't have a timer but I purchased a single one separately and it works perfectly. They are only 8 hours every say, and haven't faltered once. They are very bright, and hold up well against water drops from my plants. I like the look of them. The only reason I deducted a star is because of the super short connection cables. My shelf have multiple tiers, and I had planned to have one on each, but the cables connecting each light are way to short to do anything like that. I ended up having to put two lights on each middle shelf, which is ideally too bright but it will have to do.

Came fast and easy to put where ever you want. They literally give you 3 options to attack to the wall with sticky tape, screw with the clips or zip ties. My plants love it and my living room looks like it's sunny.

Lights are very bright and the yellow is not terrible at all, though they are bright enough to be impressive early in AM. I like being able to arrange them as needed. I split four lights into sets of two and they are working very well in separate rooms. One set is a light per shelf, the other is two lights on the same shelf in a darker corner and even the single light is really great for my plants. I don't have any plants that need high bright lighting in winter, but these are great to keep my pothos and spiderworts from straining towards the windows! They may not be bright for garden plants but I have some decorative native seedlings that are very happy with them. I still have some tough succulents that seem just fine under these with some sunlight from the window nearby. Used the provided zip ties after reading reviews that the sticky tape stuff doesn't hold up well. The lights on a wooden shelf get lightly warm to the touch after a 10 hour day, but never enough to concern me. The connections all seem to fit securely and work well with a timer I put them on. I'll be buying more when I can, they have been very efficient and stress free, well worth a little more than the cheaper products that didn't have as great reviews.
