  • Good but could be better
Color: 5000K Size: 4ft-10 Packs
Just finished installing 8’ and 4’ lights in my garage. The different length lights link up just fine and the most I have in a single string is 3 (one 8’ and two 4’). They are lighting up my 3 car garage and put out more than enough light to work anywhere within the garage at 4’ spacing. I added additional junction boxes down the middle of my garage to keep the amount of linked lights down since there are restrictions on how many can be direct linked. There are good and bad things with these lights. The good: - The lights are bright and easy to install. 1 clip for each 2’ of light is what I installed at (4 for the 8’ fixture, 2 for the 4’ fixtures. - Cannot beat the price. We will see how long they last. The bad: - They say you can hardwire them. I think they meant “hard to wire” them. The lead they give you in the box for hardwiring is +\- 6” long. The stub of the three stranded wires is only stripped 1.” Anyone who has ever done anything inside a junction box knows that is way too short to easily work with. The stranded three wires coming off the white jacket needs to be 6” long, not the 1” they give you. Fitting three caps inside a j box with 1” of cable separation between load, neutral, and ground is hard, even using Wagos. Stripping the jacket leads to damaged conductors very easily if you aren’t careful… but then that leaves you with basically no room to connect to the fixture. Your Jbox has to be within 3” of the fixture connector. - heat sink and clip. The aluminum chassis that is also the structural back of the fixture is also the LED heat sink. It gets pretty warm. Hind sight being 20/20, I would have opted to mount the brackets with some spacers to get some space between the back of the fixture and my wood joists. I’m not too worried about the heat, but more about the fixture being able to dissipate heat efficiently. - the screws. Go to your big box store and get some proper screws. The tofu pot metal garbage screws they give you strip out very easily. Save yourself some curse words and just pick up a pack of decent screws. - the diffuser. Or lack there of. Nothing like getting glared by direct exposure to LED diodes. It would be nice to have a frosted lens option, even at the cost of illumination reduction. Other thoughts: Not dimmable. Tried hooking up a dimmable Lutron Caseta smart switch. The switch instantly started buzzing and shortly thereafter, the switch went into thermal shutdown. Works fine on a dumb switch. The 4’ cables to link strings cannot link up directly, so don’t think of putting two together and having an 8’ spacing between linked lights. The connectors have to go through a light fixture. ... show more

Color: 5000K Size: 8ft-10 Packs
I never write reviews, but this product deserves one! After doing a lot of research, it seemed this brand was the highest rated and liked. I just wanted bright lights without breaking the bank, so I bought these. I used 9 out of the 10 lights provided; the ones I bought were the 10 pack of 8FT 72W 10000LM 5000K. I ran 3 rows of 3 8Ft LEDs in a 22FT x 34FT garage. My first impression was that I was blown away with how bright they are! But I wondered how long they would last? Well, it's been over 2 years, and they are as good as the day they were installed. All the LEDs work with no fade or burnout, and there's no discoloration on the case or lens. Work in extreme cold and hot temperatures. Here are my pros and cons: Pros: Very bright, reliable, cheap, easy to install. Cons: Slight fast flickering when the 80-gallon two-stage 240v single-phase compressor kicks on, barely noticeable but annoying, easy to live with. Also noticed they flicker on high draw; this is particularly noticeable in summer when the A/C kicks on. They're not on the same circuit but the same bus. The mounting clips provided that hold and support the light work well; however, when you turn the lights on for a few minutes, you hear clicks and pops, not super noticeable, but the noise is there and goes away after a while due to heat contraction, my guess. I like things neat and clean, so I bought additional 1/2" NPT Cable Glands, 16/3 SJTW extension cords, 1 Gang Box junction boxes, and cable clips to mount on the ceiling. I'll sure this as others like my self might be interested in a cleaner installation. ... show more

  • High-Visibility Game Changer for the Workshop
Color: 5000K Size: 4ft-10 Packs
I replaced my old fluorescent and flat-panel LED lights with these Barrina T8s, and the difference is night and day. I am currently in the middle of a custom kitchen cabinet build and house remodel, and the visibility these provide is exactly what I needed. Pros: - Total Coverage: They light up every corner of my shop, making it easy to spot imperfections during the final sanding stages. - Color Accuracy: The 5000K light is crisp and clean, which is essential for interior painting and ensuring my cabinet finishes are consistent. - Easy Install: The Daisy-chaining feature made it simple to organize my overhead lighting without a mess of extra wiring. If you are doing precision work like cabinetry or flooring, don't settle for "okay" lighting. These are an organized, high-visibility solution that actually makes the work easier. Highly recommended! ... show more

  • What you should know... -Updated 11/05/19
Color: 5000K Size: 4ft-10 Packs
The lamps themselves are Great! The light they put out is exactly what I wanted. Bright and soft. Connecting them one to another is a breeze. Options for how to wire them is a real plus and they're easy. HOWEVER... what you need to know is the mounting hardware, the 'clips", are flimsy. they're pre shaped metal. Very, very thin. And due to that, they don't hold they're shape very long. They quickly become fatigued and the lamp falls out. Mine were installed about 2 1/2 days. I was very pleased with them. I was out early in the morning talking to my neighbors with my garage door open. (I mounted 10 of them in my garage) And as my neighbors were commenting on all the bright soft light streaming out from my garage, at that moment, one of them fell out of the clips. So, I went around and install Tie Wraps to all of them. Not too tight. Just snug. I do recommend the lamps. They're awesome. The mounting hardware sucks. I still think they're a good value for the price I paid. I'm just going to have to replace the one which fell. Update: I decided to write to INW and explain to them that I believed the reason the lamp in question fell to the floor and subsequently broke, was due to the mounting hardware which came with the lamps I purchased from them. They responded. But I don't think I explained myself well enough to them. They offered to send me additional mounting clips. And they requested photos. After clearing that up and they understood I needed a new replacement lamp, They refunded me $5 and offered to send me the replacement lamp. Approximately a week later I received a tracking number. When the package arrived, it contained a box of ten lamps with all of the requisite cables and mounting hardware. So, as far as I'm concerned, they exceeded my request for a replacement lamp. They took my issue seriously. And I have been made to feel that my satisfaction was very important to them. I would absolutely buy from them again. And I do recommend to any who read this that you can feel confident in shopping with them. As I said, they exceeded my expectations. They took me seriously. They deserve for you to know that they are a trustworthy seller on amazon. The lighting in my garage is awesome now. Thank you INW. Nick ... show more

  • 2 Year Update, Customer Service is Amazing
Color: 5000K Size: 4ft-10 Packs
UPDATE #2: I reached out to the customer service regarding my issue, and they responded pretty quickly. After providing pictures and a few details on how my lights are set up, they expressed that they would like to send me replacement lights. The customer service was amazing, and I am happy that they came up with a solution for me. I really like these lights and didn't want to start switching to something else. While I wish I didn't have this problem with the lights to begin with, working with the customer service made the frustration significantly less and I am happy to continue using these lights in my shop. UPDATE: This July will be 2 years that I've had these lights and while they were fantastic, as I stated originally, I'm noticing a quality concern now. Several individual LED lights have begun to go out across all the bars and this morning, an entire bar stopped working and tonight, another bar has gone out. I've seen a few others now mention the same thing happening to them around the same timeframe after purchase. I'm going to see if there is anything I can do to resolve this problem but I don't have high hopes. ORIGINAL: I'd been looking for lights that would be easy to install, a decent price, and provide a sufficient amount of light in my shop when I came across these. These come with all the basic hardware and wires needed to get them installed quickly. The only complaint I can make about the hardware is that the screws could be longer. They barely made it through the sheetrock on my ceiling. I replaced them with longer ones I had on hand which worked great. There was extra brackets that came with this pack that I did use on a few of the lights. The lights themselves are super light but are amazingly bright. The one drawback I found on these is that a couple had cracks in the plastic clear covers when they arrived. I think better packaging would have possibly saved this from happening. The lights came bundled together in a box with no protection and only tape at each end holding them together. A thin piece of cardboard was all that separated the lights from the hardware. All in all, for the price and the value they've provided me in my shop, very happy with this purchase. ... show more

  • Light are failing at an alarming rate!
Color: 5000K Size: 8ft-10 Packs
(UPDATE 2026) I now have the exact same problem with the replacement fixtures. Every one of them has burned out LEDs all over it. Stay away from these lights unless you want to replace them every few years, essentially renting lights. (UPDATE) I've had these light installed for 2 years now, and on every light, MANY LEDs have failed. On one light I could see 15 dark spots and other spots that were blinking. This is only with occasional daily use and on the weekends for a few hours here and there, these lights are not on all the time. I bought these lights to replace fluorescent fixtures that had lasted 10-15 years. LEDs are supposed to outlast fluorescent bulbs many times over, but that's not the case with these. I would no longer recommend that anyone buy them, and if you look through other Amazon reviews, others are seeing the same thing. (Original review) These are REALLY BRIGHT LIGHTS!! I got the 8’ 5000k lights and the color temp matches my other 5000k led bulbs. First off the lights don’t weigh much. I’ve seen a lot of reviews saying the metal mounting clips are too thin and weak to hold the light and that you need a zip tie or something else to hold it. That seems completely silly to me. There are 30 clips in the package, so 3 per light. That is easily enough. While installing the lights I would put one clip in the center, and then add the outer ones. Just one clip in the middle could hold the weight, no problem. With 3 there’s no way the light is going to come loose. I did bend the clips in slightly just to make sure though. I have power in several places on my ceiling because I’m replacing fluorescent fixtures, but the power came into those fixtures to one side or the other of center. These lights connect to power on the ends. Because of that, and the fact that the direct wire they give you is about 6” long, I ended up using the power wire with the standard 120v plug and toggle switch, which is 5’ long. If you cut off the plug and strip the wire back it works much better than the short direct wire they give you. The short direct wire option has some unusual colored wires in it, yellow with a green stripe (ground), brown (hot) and blue (neutral). The 5 foot power cord has standard wire colors, green (ground), white (hot) and black (neutral). Now regarding the brightness. I have blue eyes and have always been sensitive to bright lights. These lights are so bright it hurts me to look directly at them. In testing them, they were so bright that I eventually decided to put something over the light to defuse them somewhat. I tried a few things, but works the best is white contact paper from HD. The paper comes in a 18” x 20’ length for $8 bucks and has an adhesive backing like tape, only not as sticky. You can easily lay it down and peal it back up to work out the air bubbles if you get any. Afterwards the light was perfect and the intense brightness was knocked down a bit, right where I wanted it. If you look at the attached pic looking up directly at the bulb, the top third of it has the paper installed, and the rest is the bare bulb. The bright light washes out the camera, so in the pic it looks slightly yellow where the tape is. That’s only in the pic, it doesn’t really look like that in person. In the other pics with the cars, each bulb is completely covered by the contact paper, so you can see how white the light is, and it’s still plenty bright. I think they turned out perfect! I wouldn’t highly recommend these lights, especially if you have high ceilings and won’t be looking directly into them. You won’t be disappointed with the light output. One thing I would recommend is adding the lights to your Honey droplist and watching the price for a week or so. They run a lightning sale every so often and drop the price a bunch. ... show more

  • Very bright, but early fixtures had short lives
Color: 5000K Size: 4ft-10 Packs
6 year update: About 50% of the 6 year old fixtures in my initial install have failed completely. Fixtures purchased more recently seem to last longer, but it's too soon to tell for sure. At this point, I'm choosing to purchase replacement fixtures for the early batch in the hope that the early QC issues have been resolved, rather than going through the pain of replacing them all with an entirely new setup. 3 year update: Individual LEDs on many of the 3 year-old fixtures I installed for my first review, below, are starting to fail; about 1% or so of the total LEDs in fixtures that have had low-to-moderate use each week. Overall, the fixtures are still functioning and plenty bright, but the individual failures are pretty uniform across all of the units I first installed. I have purchased 30 additional fixtures since the first install and so far they are all doing well. Personally, I would have expected better life than this, perhaps on the order of 10 years or so considering their moderate use (several hours per week). Hopefully the QC issues from the first batch installed have been corrected in the later batches I bought. 2 Year Update: * So, far I've installed 20 fixtures and none have failed. * I'm pleased to report that the mounting clips in my latest batch have been completely redesigned and strengthened! They are now very good (add one star). Kudos for customer service listening to feedback. * I now have 30 fixtures installed and working without issue. Initial Post: Initial impression is mostly positive... Pros * Very bright white... the 5000K rating seems accurate. * Very light weight * Very good assortment of electrical connectors; the number and type works for an average installation and seems to be well thought out. * Every fixture worked out of the box Cons * The mounting clips seem to be almost made out of tin foil... they very easily deform and have absolutely no "spring back" qualities. To be clear, pairs of clips are adequate to support the negligible weight of each fixture. However, anything less than precise alignment while attempting to snap in the fixture results in a deformed clip and the fixture has to be taken down so the clip(s) can be bent back into shape. >:-( * The included connecting wires are all 4 ft long. No problem if the fixtures are less than 4 ft apart, but useless if the spacing is greater. Longer wires are available separately, but a few can be fabricated with the included stub connectors and some 3 conductor cable you supply. Not a deal killer. Life expectancy is unknown at this first install. Fixtures like these that fail early usually have power supply failures. Stay tuned... ... show more
