I have ordered other shampoos for my husband that have a sandalwood fragrance. The other 'favorite' shampoo (not one with conditioner included) is over twice the price. I won't mention here as it's fabulous and I don't wish to discourage anybody from trying it. So, back to my review of THIS shampoo/ conditioner combo...... It's got an amazing, tantalizing scent that wafts through the entire house when hubby showers. The scent is wholly natural; nothing fake or revolting about it like so many other scented products. There are notes of sandalwood but also some other essential oils that are very pleasing to the senses. It is moisturizing; we live in an arid climate and this shampoo makes his hair and scalp supple. His hair looks full and healthy after shampooing with it. In my opinion it makes a great body wash as well as shampoo/conditioner. I would highly recommend it and we will be ordering again! ... show more

I originally got this shampoo/conditioner exactly because I was going on vacation to a cabin that had a well. Because of that I did a ton a research for shampoos/conditioners that had to have 2 things. First, it had to be a 2-in-1 because we had limited water--aka limited shower time. Second it had to have witch hazel (to deal with the hard water issue), and preferably not have all the other nasty stuff like sulfates and parabens found in some shampoos. This one fit those requirements. Cons: first off, the bottle wasn't sealed right when we got it, so some of it spilled in transit. But not enough leaked to make me send it back and I was pressed for time to find an alternative. The only other thing I would consider a con is that it has a very strong smell like bourbon. Most of the people on the trip (men and women) were not too keen on using it because of the smell. Pros: It cleans really well. I once used this shampoo a couple days after using a different brand that left a kind of sticky residue on my hair. This shampoo will clean any other shampoo/conditioner brand residue off your hair in one wash. The formula also tends to leave hair quite soft. Conclusion: I wouldn't say it's the best option for curly hair, but its a good shampoo. I strongly suggest it for people with product residue or hard water issues. ... show more

...then bought one for myself. Love the scent, the way my hair feels and looks after using - manageable and beautiful. The difference for my husband is unbelievable. He went from stringy dull looking hair to a full healthy head of hair. And, he even likes it. He's an engineer - that's really saying something!
