    • Great Sound and Durability for the Classroom, but Comfort Could Be Better

My daughters currently have several pairs of headphones between home and school use, so we have a good basis for comparison. My daughter noticed right away that these weren’t as comfortable as the headphones she is used to. That isn’t completely surprising since these are designed for classroom durability rather than plush comfort, but I do think comfort is still important for kids who wear headphones for longer periods. The sound quality is where these headphones really impressed me. The audio is crisp, clear, and comes through well without needing to increase the volume. The noise-reducing design works better than I expected. I was standing almost right next to my daughter speaking at a normal volume while she was playing a game, and she couldn’t hear me even with the volume fairly low. I also like that the earcups rotate so the headphones can lay flat for easier storage, which is a great feature for classrooms. The headband adjustment is a little stiff and doesn’t slide as smoothly as some other kids’ headphones, but the extra strong reinforced plastic makes them feel very sturdy. The flat plastic wired cord is not braided, but it feels solid and well made. Overall, I would give these 4 stars. While I wish they were a little more comfortable, I think they offer good value for the money because of the sound quality, noise-reducing design, and durable construction. I can easily see these working well for teachers, schools, libraries, or testing environments where headphones need to hold up to frequent use by students. ... show more

I needed headphones for my homeschool students. I have 4 kids and always need headphones on all our different computers, tablets, and audio devices from the library. I also wanted to have a few for backup, so this 12 pack was a good choice. The audio quality is fairly good and clear, you hear everything you need to, and it isn't fuzzy or bad sounding. They are comfortable for smaller ears, but when I tried them out as an adult, the ear pads are a little uncomfortable on the tops of my ears where they press down. They adjust to fit my 5 year old, and up to my 12 year old. And while they fit on my 15 year old, the ear pads are a little small. Speaking of the pads, they are comfortable and cushy, and of course easy to wipe down and clean. We haven't needed the mic, but it is nice to have the option if we need it. There is no sound adjustment wheel, so you have to be able to adjust the audio on the computer, for computer headphones, I'm used to gaming ones that are adjustable. When listening to audio with these headphones, while you still can hear things in the room, it is quieter, so you can focus on what you are listening to. The wires on these are flat, which helps them from tangling, love that! The ear pads also lay flat for storage which is great! I think these are very durable and should hold up nicely to my homeschool classroom of 4 boys. The price of these is very reasonable, at less than $6 per set at the time of my review. ... show more

I ordered these for our special education intervention teacher to use with her small groups, and they have worked out great. The students immediately commented on how comfortable they are, which matters when they are wearing headphones for more than just a couple of minutes. The sound quality has been clear for both regular audio and text-to-speech activities, and the students have had no trouble hearing what they need to hear. The fit adjusts well for different students, the ear cushions are comfortable, and the cord length gives them enough room to use the headphones without feeling awkward or restricted. They also feel sturdy enough to handle regular classroom use, which is always one of my biggest concerns with anything that gets passed between middle school students. The overall quality has been solid so far, and I like having a full set available for intervention groups instead of scrambling to find enough working pairs.
