EDIT: OK, I've now had this blanket for many months, my cat jumps up on my bed all the time, NO SNAGS! AND NO PILLING! I have a Viscosoft comforter which I love for colder weather, but as most comforters do, it takes a long time to dry and it's too much for warm weather. I saw this one and thought it was the best choice. I WAS concerned when some said it was NOT plum, as while I get some like REALLY vivid purple, doesn't really go with my bedroom. PROS: FIRST, PACKAGING - I read a review where someone mentioned it came in such a small package they sent back because obviously not thick enough. Well, I loved the packaging. Comes in a zippered case and within that case, my full/queen was VACUUM sealed, so that's why it didn't take up much space. THICKNESS - IT IS a lightweight blanket, but that's EXACTLY what I wanted for summer and fall. SOFTNESS - OMG, feels like a fluffy bunny. WASHING/DRYING - JUST washed it (on gentle, did a second rinse with extra liquid softener) and dried on low. Dried quickly and came out beautifully. There was almost NO lint in the lint trap. COLOR/SHEEN/SLICKNESS - It is a TOUCH more vibrant because of the sheen than the pic, but PERFECT. For me, DEFINITELY plum, just shiny. Looks expensive. For those who say it's slippery, I just tuck in the bottom, no prob with it falling off the bed. SIZE - I WAS WORRIED this would be too large for my FULL bed. I DO have a 14 inch mattress, no box springs, but a high platform bed. THIS DOES NOT hang down far at all. I wish it were a little longer as to keep it from slipping off the bed, I tuck the bottom in a bit, but then it doesn't come as far up to the top as I would prefer. Anyway, it certainly is NOT too big for full size mattress I have! NO REAL CONS, BUT the one concern I have is I have a cat that jumps on my bed. I read a review it can snag. And it is microplush and shiny and lightweight, but we shall see. Right NOW, no cons, but WILL UPDATE if ANYTHING CHANGES. I just got it, washed it and put on bed and so far, THRILLED. BOTTOMLINE: BETTER than I thought it would be. And it was on sale.

I absolutely love this blanket. It is so soft and well made. It’s not too heavy and just the right amount of warm that I needed. I’ve run it through the wash and then on low in the dryer with wool softener balls and it comes out just as soft and fluffy as it was when it was delivered. This blanket is so soft. I have washed it twice and it hasn't clumped or developed pilling. However, it does shed lots of dust bunnies. Especially when it is washed. Gave 4 stars because other blankets that I own of similar softness and texture don't shed like this one.

Very nice blankets. I have one in plum I ordered several years ago to throw over my bed for my 3 cats to sleep on during the day. At night I fold it halfway down to the foot of my bed as I'm a hot sleeper. The cats and I think this blanket is very cozy. Washed and dried before first use...ZERO lint from these blankets, even after repeated wash and dry. I also ordered Bare Home Eggplant flannel sheets.
