While this kit comes with a bunch of accessories which is nice, the main reason I purchased it was for the cape and I wasn’t thrilled with it. This may have been my mistake but I assumed the neck would be elastic and have some type of snap closure but it actually has a couple of laces that need to be tied and it’s not elastic. I’m a normal size adult male and I was not able to tie the cape tight enough around my neck. Even when it was tied using the entire length of the laces, it still hung around my neck like a stretched out sweater. I’m used to barbershop capes that are tight around your neck. There’s no way to get this Cape tied that tightly which kind of defeats the purpose. There’s also no overlap of the 2 sides when it’s tied. The cape is shaped for someone sitting in a barbers chair so if you are purchasing this for yourself or for a home haircuts where you will be standing or sitting on a stool, just be aware it will only go about half way down your back. I’m sure this is pretty standard but it was something I didn’t realize until I tried it on. I gave it three stars because it came with a few other useful accessories. If this review was for the Cape only, it would be one star.
