We got this for our kitchen and am pleasantly surprised with the quality and stability of this stool, given that it is height adjustible and is held by that one metal pole. It also looks very design versatile (black and white) and fits most decor. It fits ours, even though it is different from our other stools. The assembly is fairly easy and I didn't have much trouble with it (female 5'2) even when I did it alone. The height adjuster works well. My kids love sitting on it and rotating themselves and treats it as a toy, so it got dirty quickly because of its color... but because of the seat material, I was able to wipe off majority of the dirt spots on it which is great because I foresee more messes in the future. My husband, who is heavier set, says the chair also holds him comfortably and stably. 5 stars!

This Bar Stool is very easy to assemble, but, I find the seat a little small and I am not a big person(5'3", 145#) and the foot rest is too small/short to rest my feet on comfortably. The seat doesn't go down far enough to rest my feet on the floor either. The quality is okay, not great. I wouldn't get it again.
