Great Speaker. Almost as good as a component stereo system. Great sound. The JBL excels outdoors. It just sounds great. I also purchased a Sonos Move 2 and had them at the same time and compared the two. I switched back and forth between them, comparing the same song. The Sonos is going back but it is a nice speaker. Not as balanced. Best at low volume levels. In general the Sonos sounds like it has a lot of digital signal processing DSP / EQ. I also didn't want a microphone listening to me all the time like the Sonos. The JBL is large and heavy but I think that is a small price for such good sound. I used Apple lossless CD burns via bluetooth for my comparisons. ... show more

10/10 for sound quality. This was an impulsive purchase. But it was well worth . Now the price point isn’t for everyone. 15lbs isn’t heavy.. but I wouldn’t set on a table or on top of anything that can’t handle the weight or vibration from all the bass. This boombox isn’t a regular speaker. This has a lot more power compared to a regular JBL speaker. Also great is you wanna make your neighbors or roommates hate you. lol ... show more

This speaker is amazing! Long story, but I bought it on accident, I didn't think I'd ever be okay paying this much for a speaker, but I can't go back. I listen to music all day every day. I have a few different speakers & headphones... JBL Charge 4 JBL Vibe Beam Apple earbuds (pro & regular) Some other brands of speakers that are less notable, the list goes on... There's something lacking in each one, mostly the volume and bass quality. For working out I dance, and I like my music LOUD. This speaker is IT. It's the only (non-club/concert) speaker I've ever though, wow - that's too loud, I should turn it down. The first time I turned it on I was blown away. It's pretty big and heavy, but I guess that just comes with the huge amount of sound it produces. I feel like the battery life is okay. I really only use it in the house so I don't need it to last very long. It charges relatively fast and I haven't had any issues with connectivity. Super user friendly. I bought this as a Christmas present last year for my better half. He mainly uses it by his hot tub. It has been through snow and rain and it is still going strong like I just bought it yesterday. When he cranks up the volume, our deck vibrates with no sound distortion. So if you like your music on the low end or very loud, give it a try. It is heavy though if that would be an issue for you. I personally like that it is heavier because it does not vibrate and move around when the volume is cranked up. ... show more
