I use the double cleanse method and use a cleansing balm as the first step. I have tried many cleansing balms ranging from inexpensive to expensive. This one ranges in the medium price range. I love that it doesn't have any bad chemicals in it so it's perfect for sensitive skin or skin that is prone to breakouts. Loved this! I've always used a Japanese or Korean cleansing OIL (as part of my nightly double-cleanse routine) which is superb for removing make-up. I bought the Banila balm since it was on sale and boy am I glad I did. This cleans just as well as my oils, and as an added bonus: I love the light scent and how economical this is. This jar will probably last me a good long while. It takes very little to thoroughly clean my face of make-up, even mascara. I scoop a tiny amount, maybe just a little over 1/4 teaspoon.
