  • Strong and Easy
This is a good immersion blender for everyday kitchen use. The motor feels strong, it blends quickly, and the variable speed trigger gives better control than the basic on-off models. For soups, sauces, smoothies, and small prep jobs, it works well and feels easy to manage without taking up much space. I decided to make almond flour cookies... What I Like The variable speed trigger is one of the best features. It lets you start gently, which helps avoid splatter, and then increase power when needed. That makes it easier to use directly in a pot or cup without making a mess. The 300W motor has enough strength for normal kitchen tasks, and it feels capable for pureeing soups, blending smoothies, mixing dressings, and handling softer vegetables without struggling. I also like the stainless steel shaft. It feels sturdier than plastic and is better suited for regular use. The handle is comfortable too. It is light in the hand, has a decent grip, and does not feel awkward during longer blending sessions. Cleanup is simple since the blending stick detaches easily and can go in the dishwasher. Concerns It is strong for an immersion blender, but I would still keep expectations realistic. It works well for daily tasks, though I would not rely on it like a full-size countertop blender for very heavy blending jobs all the time. It also feels more functional than premium. It gets the job done, but the appeal is really in convenience and everyday usefulness rather than a more high-end feel. I do like the size and convenient to store. Overall, this is a solid, easy-to-use immersion blender with good power and helpful speed control. It is especially nice for quick kitchen tasks and smaller spaces, and it feels like a practical tool to keep within reach. ... show more

  • Lightweight and Capable for Daily Kitchen Tasks
It’s really light but packs some decent power. I wasn’t expecting much from a compact immersion blender, but this thing handles most everyday tasks without feeling heavy in your hand. The variable speed trigger works once you get past the initial travel. It takes a moment to kick in, but after that it responds well to pressure changes. I had success making emulsions once I figured out the right speed to avoid breaking them. A little practice goes a long way. The motor is surprisingly quiet for what it can do. It handled most ingredients fine but did struggle a bit with really tough fibrous stuff. The 300W is decent for typical blending but not unstoppable. One important note: the end is plastic, so keep the pot off the heat source when you’re blending hot soup or you risk melting it. The shaft still looks new after multiple uses. No scratches visible. I used it carefully in non-stick cookware and didn’t see any damage. Detaches quickly for cleaning and the motor body wipes down easily with a damp cloth. About the ice crushing claim: I’m not sure how this is supposed to crush ice. The shaft head isn’t wide enough to really handle that task effectively. Compact storage, comfortable grip for normal use, and genuinely lightweight. For everyday soups, sauces, and dressings, this does the job well. ... show more

  • Really nicely designed, plenty of power, great gadget
This is our second immersion blender, and it outshines its predecessor in an important respect: The business end of the blender has a little non-metallic extension at the bottom that prevents the spinning blade from banging against the bottom of the pot or bowl you're using. No more wincing as the blade on our old immersion blender bangs away at the bottom of an enameled pot! The features all seem to work as advertised on the product page: The pressure sensitive power button increases blending speed as you depress it further, it's actually relatively easy to control, and it provides plenty of power for the uses we have in mind. The stem with the blade detaches with a twist. Like anything with a sharp blade, you want to be very careful when you clean it. We've usually started that process by leaving the power end attached and then running the blade end in a cup of soapy water. That usually does the trick, but a dish brush may be required -- this time with the power end detached. Ergonomically, it's easy to work with. And we're saving the box to store it in, broken down into its two parts. This is a great addition to our kitchen! ... show more

  • Easy to control with the squeeze handle
The trigger speed control is what stood out right away. You just squeeze a little or a lot depending on what you’re blending, and it feels pretty natural. I used it for soup and a quick smoothie, and it didn’t splash everywhere like I expected. It’s lightweight and the handle has a nice grip, so my hand didn’t feel tired holding it. The metal bottom feels sturdy and didn’t scratch up my pot, which I was a bit worried about. It blends smoothly and handles softer stuff easily. It also got through some tougher veggies without much effort. Not super loud either, which I appreciated. Cleaning is simple since the bottom part comes off. I just rinse it or toss it in the dishwasher. Only thing is you have to remember not to get the top part wet, but that’s easy enough. Overall, it’s been really convenient for quick blending without dragging out a full blender. ... show more

  • Fresko Immersion Blender
It's a long stick so it can get into a pretty deep pot of soup without any trouble. The shaft ends with BPA-free plastic to keep your cook- or dishware from scratching. It's a comfortable weight, and easy to manipulate. My least favorite feature is that you use pressure with the trigger button to change speeds. I appreciate the idea of managing the device in this way, but in use it's difficult to maintain the speed I want. I'm old and weary, it could just be me. It does a good job of pureeing, although food, particularly leafy food, gets caught in the openings in the tip. That happens with most immersion blenders because most have those same style openings. It's a good blender. ... show more
