This bat is great! It's so much lighter than other wood bats I've used, and it qualifies in our local slow pitch league. It's got good pop at the sweet spot and sounds great when you make good contact. Only potential downside I can see is durability; Between myself and my teammates we've probably used the bat for 20+ at-bats, and in that short time I have already started to see some pretty deep pitting at the top of the barrel in the soft bamboo. Very very small pieces of bamboo have actually broken off the top of the bat from simply tossing the bat after making contact, and it makes me a little worried about long term wear. If anything I was more worried about this bat quickly cracking or breaking because it's so light, but even after a few bad swings that doesn't seem to be an issue. So, I'm taking off one star for the already visible wear on the top of the barrel, but it gets a solid 4 stars for performance and weight so far. Will update with more information if there are any future issues (or lack thereof) ... show more

Bought this bat a couple months ago and it has some great pop off the barrel. Our men’s league switched to wood bats last year and I got one in black last year that worked great and the whole team used it, so bought a second one this year to accommodate the additional use by the team. This bat handles great, and has great action off the sweet spot. By some type of fluke, the bat cracked after only 5 games which really shocked me. This company has a 100 day guarantee on their product, so I reached out and the customer service was incredible. They understood the assignment and honored their guarantee immediately and rushed a replacement out to me in two days. Was absolutely surprised by how quick they took care of the replacement. No lie... with the first swing of this bat I launched a softball high in sky and it landed only when it hit a house across the street from the field. This bat has a nice balance between the handle and the barrel, and the pre-wrapped grip is a nice plus. However, after several games and over 20 hits, it seems to have only average pop at best.
