The first lamp I received was DOA and wouldn't turn on. The second one worked perfectly. The light this lamp puts out is very warm and relaxing. The LED bulb is replaceable and is a regular socket bulb. The switch has a dimmer function that works well. The power button on the switch has a blue light on it that's pretty bright and can be annoying but nothing a little black electrical tape can't fix. My daughter who's into Boho style says this lamp fits perfectly into her decor. The lamp does plug into power using a usb cable so you need to provide your own usb power brick. Overall, this is a nice Boho style table lamp

This is a cute 6 footer. Meaning that it looks cute from 6 feet away. Once you get closer, you can see the poor quality, not actually bad, but not good either. The only a few of the decorative bamboo sticks are actually attached, the rest are just trapped between the top and bottom rings, so there is very little stiffness and I suspect it will fall apart before long. Probably easy to glue back together, but will be a pain to get all of those sticks aligned with their holes before the glue sets. Now as far as functionality goes, this is purely for decoration or as a nightlight. It is not bright enough to read by, even at full power and being very close. If all you want is a bit of ambiance then this might be a good fit for you, but if you want something functional then I would continue to look elsewhere. I am giving it 3 stars because it does describe itself as "decorative" but the build quality makes it loose 2.

I really like this lamp! It is a very simple design, and has a beautiful soft light with adds nice ambiance in my room. The bamboo lamp is not fancy, you can see in the photos the bamboo lines aren't perfectly straight, any handling easily moves them (you and adjust them to a degree.) What is special about this lamp is the perfect ambiance it creates. It is great value for something that can change a room so much. It must be plugged in to work, and requires an adapter to plug into a wall, which is not included. It can also plug into a laptop or portable battery. The magic is in the light that emanates from the sheer shade within the bamboo. It is on full strength in these photos, however it is dimmable, so you can adjust to your liking. I wouldn't consider this for a main light source, however it is perfect for an additional, decorative lamp to set the perfect ambiance in your room. I would have given it 5 stars is it was sturdier, however I personally feel it is sufficient as once set up it isn't something you likely will touch or move often. You turn the lamp on with a switch on the cord. I recommend this lamp, I'm very happy with it.
