Pretty happy with this bed! I ordered a storage bed for underneath this bed and then Jerry rigged the bed on top to make a tall teen bed…. Raging success. My teens are so happy! It really does look cool in their rooms! I gave it four stars. It’s a little, not as stiff and supported as I would like… but once you put it against the wall, it’s all good. Very important comment: you can set this bed up left or right sided. That was a huge question I had on most of these types of beds and this is one of the few offers that answered that somewhere in someone’s comment so I just wanted to make further comment to help the crowd. I’ve ordered two of these beds in different colors for my boys; I would order again in a minute; these have been so popular at my house! Every kid that sees them wants it. I do think they’re very short without the other storage bed underneath them. I’m so glad I ordered a storage bed with drawers on them for the underneath… then I just decided not to add the slats to this one or the feet and I put it on top of the storage bed and kind of jerryrigged it altogether. We put a 2 in thick piece of foam board down on top of the slats for the storage bed just to make it stronger and then we drop the mattress all the way through the upholstered bed till it landed on top of the storage bed; we ordered very thick mattresses (12 inches) to make it all a luxury type of feel. I think my teens wouldn’t be too happy being so close to the ground if I just ordered the upholstered bed and that’s it…. I wish this company would make the same bed but very tall like a dorm bed w storage drawers. I think they would sell tons of them to college kids, just saying! ... show more

A little deceiving because the back of the side of the day bed is unfinished. The picture shows it not against a wall making you believe it's okay to float it in the middle of a wall, which is why I bought it. If you walk around the side of the bed it is just cheap papery fabric. Nothing you would want people to see. Also the side board is not stable enough to comfortably lean back against without fear of breaking it. That said if you plan on putting it in a corner it would be fine. ... show more
