While I suppose I appreciate the slight convenience of the unit, it only does wonders for cooling a room when it is already cold. I specifically waited until it became summer weather where I am before writing this review just so I could see how well it really cooled one small room. It is very disappointing. Once you fill the tank and set up the ice packs then turn on cool mode, the air takes a few moments to actually cool down but once it does, it feels incredibly nice yet almost somewhat natural. I do enjoy that, but it struggles to cool down the room whatsoever even the smallest bit. Instead it mostly just makes the air humid and the room feel muggy unless you stay directly in front of the airflow. TL;DR: The unit is disappointing but technically works as the air can get somewhat cool. Easy to maintain. Sucks at actually cooling a room though. ... show more

Very good but not great. This has been a life saver for me living in Arizona. It works best with the window open because it makes your room a bit humid in th day. The tank is not big enough to last 7 hours and lasts more like 4-5 so you can't leave it on while sleeping. Adding ice does make it a lot more cold but doesn't last as long. If you live in a dry climate this maybe a better option for you but for what I was looking for where I live in Oregon it simply didn’t cool effectively enough and made the room mostly just humid..

This small unit is easy to fill with water, easy to move around, & easy to use . The cooling works as expected and the three levels of fan control work well. I purchased a second one to use in our guest room.
