I like digital thermometers and had picked up a couple over the year through the Amazon Vine program, which is where I got this one. Overall, I like the BALDR Pool Thermometer and would recommend it. The measurement appears to be accurate when I compared it to another thermometer, including a kitchen one that I use for cooking. I also like how the digital section, while protected by thick plastic sits above the water to keep water out from entering the charging port. The rubber that sits over the charging port is thick and tight. Owners should pay attention to ensure they're fully sealing the rubber into the nook to ensure a water tight seal, which is achievable. While I have not tried to submerse this thermometer too deep, it does keep the water out. When I received the thermometer, I charged it immediately although it didn't appear to need much charging. I tried a couple USB-C cords I had already plugged in (for charging phones) and found it did not work. Once I used the cord supplied with the thermometer, it worked fine. Maybe I was doing something wrong or maybe not, but it appears that only the cord supplied with charge it. So I placed the cord out by the pool so that I pair this cord with this thermometer the next time it needs a charge, which according to the documentation will be approximately 5 months from now.

Purchased to go with our ice bath. Works well and I like that it is rechargeable. It is stuck on Celsius so we have to figure out how to change it to fareinheit but otherwise it works great. Not complaints.

Using this for my ice bath plunges and it works great. Love that you don't have to pull it out of the water to read the temp. Recharges and floats well. Fantastic digital readout. Best one I have out of three.

No thought was given to how this thermometer was designed. This unit has a capacitive touch sensor on the side that controls its one button. this button powers the unit on and off and when held down allows someone to switch it from F to C. The issue is that the water itself activated this button. The unit is constantly powering on and off while in the water and switching from F to C. since i prefer my temp readings in F its very frustrating that its always switching to C mode.

My eight year old was excited when this showed up. He opened it and charged it up immediately. We attached it to the pool and he tells me the temperature every 10 minutes or so when we are swimming. I think the idea of a rechargeable digital thermometer is great. The little analog ones were always so small and hard to read.

Does just what it says. I particularly like that it's rechargeable so I don't have to keep buying batteries. The charging port is on top of the unit and has a silicon cover which keeps the water out. I have three pool thermometers, and when I put them all in the pool they all read within a degree of each other, so I'm happy with the accuracy. The clear shiny cover on the top makes this thermometer a little difficult to read because of the glare, sometimes I have to pick it up and turn it around to get the angle right so I can read it. That's kind of a pain. For the price there are thermometers with more features, like an indoor receiver so you don't have to go out to the pool to monitor the temp, so look around.
