This is a nice addition to my home gym and doesn’t come with a large footprint. Relatively easy to assemble, fitting the tube covers onto the base was surprisingly a bit difficult as it was a tight fit and I had to stretch them out. However, the rest was relatively easy to assemble. This is a very sturdy piece of equipment for the price, as I tried it out with a chain belt with a 10 lb. plate, and plan on going up. I’m about 5’11, well built, certainly above average in the shoulders but I’m not the biggest guy. I didn’t find the grips to be way too far apart like a lot of the reviews, but could see it being a little wide for those that are slight of build. This targeted my chest and triceps well and is a great product! It looks great, is high quality for the money and will get the job done! Very easy to put together, and it does not move around when you use it. It does have some adjustability in height. I use it regularly and it has held up well so far. I do have reservations about the long-term durability, iit is made from a thin material. Time will tell, but so far, so good. The push-up handles are a nice addition. There is plenty of room to move. Others have commented on the lack of headroom when doing pushups. I can see it being an issue for some depending on where you typically place your hands when doing pushups. ... show more

This is a great dip machine. Its actually my second bar. I had one of the loop style bars, and it worked ok, but it was a little low to the ground, even at the highest setting, so it was difficult to get full extension. This machine goes together fairly easily, and it comes with the tools needed, though it would be faster with real tools. The bars are set a little wide, and this could put your shoulders in a bad situation, if you go too fast. I have previously injured a shoulder from doing dips too fast, so I am acutely aware of the danger. For me the wider grip is a subtle reminder to mind my technique. I really like the potential height for this bar. It allows me to get full extension, and I do a knee raise at the end which allows me to get full shoulder rotation, which really seems to put extra emphasis on my upper chest at the top of each rep. I am 210 to 220 and about 6'0" tall (short legged). This machine feels stable and durable for my size. I love the setup, and I am glad my son talked me in to giving him my previous loop bar. I keep this at my office and I hit dips about every 1.5 hours. ITs a nice little refresher from sitting at my desk. My wife appreciates what it does for my chest and shoulders as well. ... show more

I've been keeping an eye out for over a year here, on ebay, and elsewhere for a good value on a dip station of decent quality and I can say honestly that for the price especially, this just can't be beaten! Sturdy, not goofy-looking, easy-to-assemble, and doesn't require finding wall studs and mounting. The only thing this station isn't is easily portable. It's easy enough to pick up and move don't get me wrong - it's just not something you're going to pack up and bring on a plane. Other than the fact that I found out the hard way that it is fairly easy to accidentally assemble the vertical arms backward on the legs, the assembly is very straightforward and easy to understand. The instructions indicate 2 different sized washers and my set came only one size but the quantity was right so and there was really no need for a smaller outer diameter washer anyway so it worked just the same. It very handily comes with two basic wrenches but I used my own socket-wrench to speed things up. I bought the red and black version and it looks great. Nice foamy grips and rubber feet. Overall no complaints! Best as I can tell, if you are looking for a dip-station this is hands-down the best value out there. ... show more

This Dip stand has a very wide range of heights that is suitable for a lot of people. I'm 6 foot 192lbs and didn't have to worry about my feet touching the ground. The handles are a bit in the wide range, but isn't to much of a issue for me. It was very stable for me and I felt comfortable doing dips on it. The only time I was uncomfortable was when I had it at max height which was unnecessary. ... show more
