Ordered the one inch, 72 square foot in grey. I actually purchased this for an elderly pet who needed a little extra cushion from our tile floors. Putting these together were simple, tiles were even height and colors matched. The material is very sturdy and strong, in fact I had to cut a few pieces to go snug to the wall and they were very tough to cut! Pet spills and messes seem to wipe up easy, so in my opinion these are easy to clean. I even laid down on these mats and they were so comfy I didn't want to get up, lots of padding! There are so many uses for this product beyond just exercise mats (though now I'm thinking I might want a second set for my exercise room also). Well, let me start by saying I didnt order these for working out! We have a 11 yr old lab with arthitis and jumping up and down off the couch and bed are proving to be more difficult as she gets older. We have wood floors in one area, and carpet in the other. We thought she needed a little "boost" to help her on/off of things and these being 1 inch thick was a big bonus! They do have some give but not a lot so she'll feel stable. So, they arrived just now, I hooked 2 together and then 2 more to make a square. I put it in front of the love seat and she immediately hopped up on it with very little problem! My husband looked at me and said "Worth EVERY penny!!!!"... .Now, I have a LOT more of these and will go place them around the bottom of our bed so she wont have to hit the hard floors when jumping down. These mat pieces are large, 24 inches, and they are textured which is nice for traction! They press together very nicely where you barely see the seam. I'm completely impressed. For our purpose these are PERFECT. And to be honest, they'd be GREAT for yoga, working out, kids area, etc. The shipping was so fast when we got the notification we had a package, I was shocked it was these!! *Im writing this after a couple months of regular use. Since the gym I went to shut down in March, I decided to create my own home gym. After waiting about 6 months for my gym to reopen I just couldn’t wait anymore. I bought a Marcy Smith machine and needed flooring to sit it on top of. Now I know this isn’t ideal for the heavy Smith machine but when I bought it horse stall mats were sold out everywhere so I went with these anyway- I needed to workout! I bought both grey and blue colors. I know these are primarily used as jujutsu mats so they feel great on my feet for jumping rope, hitting the heavy bag stretching and Yoga. My dogs love to lay on them too. They are a bit ‘sensitive’ though and you should know they’re aren’t super durable for heavy weights being dropped on them or for extremely heavy use. I’ve already accidentally cut a small hole in one tile with the corner of my ab bench and if you leave a barbell on them for too long it will leave an indentation. The indentation comes out eventually. I walk on them with my regular workout shoes and haven’t noticed and issue. My Smith machine has held up well on them but eventually I’m sure I’ll need to replace them. At that point I will order horse stall mats to put underneath. I plan on keeping these mats since they’re extremely comfortable and great for what I need them for. I’ve posted pics of my set up and a few others. Overall I’d recommend them. ... show more

I spent an enormous amount of my time researching these home gym mats (seriously days and days of research). I finally decided to go with the puzzle mat over the roll up mats. So many other mats are too thin. I ended up ordering these and another brand at same time so I could compare upon arrival and return the one I didn’t like. These beat out the others by a mile! They are a true 1 inch in thickness!! They lock together perfectly and I can reshape them to my desired size. They’re as easy to assemble as they are to take apart! I use only 8 tiles and have left over if I want to add on. I unfortunately do not have a hard floor so these are on my carpet. I was worried about this at first but satisfied now a month later to how well they’re holding up! No curling on edges, easy to wipe up sweat too! I’m completely satisfied more than I thought I’d be. Only negative is they do curl apart a bit as I do harsher workouts, but I do have it on top of my carpet. I think this wouldn’t happen if I had it on concrete, hardwood or tile flooring. I’m so happy I decided on BalanceFrom 1” puzzle exercise mat! Every time I look at them I it makes me wanna work out! I know they’re going to last a long time! I recently turned a room in our home into a dedicated fitness area and wanted padded flooring for doing yoga, weight lifting, etc. I ended up going with the grey colored BalanceFrom 1" Extra Thick Puzzle Exercise Mat that covers 72sq. ft. The mats are 1" thick, are made really well and because of the tear off edging, you can use them in just about any layout you can think of. I needed two separate areas covered and had a few tiles left over. The mat looks great and is perfect for martial arts and just about everything else you want to do on them. If you are putting them over a hard/slick surface you may want to get a few of the carpet stick pads to throw underneath to keep the mat from sliding like it did on my tile floor. I highly recommend this mat. The price of the 72sq ft pack was way cheaper than the less thick matting that dicks was selling. ... show more
