    • Metal stand doesn't hold up.
The description claims this is a double hammock and will support up to 450 pounds. I'm 180 pounds and when I laid in the hammock the metal frame bent like it was made of tin foil. I can't believe this is an isolated issue since it's a problem with the metal itself. The only good thing is that it was easy to assemble, but this is not sturdy and will not hold the weight of an average person. Unless you weigh less than 80 pounds don't bother putting it together. ... show more

    • you get what you pay for
This thing is significantly cheaper than most stands out there. I purchased via Amazon warehouse, so it was around $35-$42. If you plan on buying new, skip to next paragraph. If you plan on buying via warehouse, expect to have to return this a few times (& if it's right the first time, wahoo!). Didn't come with bolts the first time, the pipes were already rusted twice, sent the wrong color, etc etc. Set-up was a 10 minute ordeal. Although, if these come dinged up some, it may make it really challenging to couple the pipes & cause some paint scratching. The hammock is challenging to put on the hooks (you have to use the highest setting at first), but after stretching you can move the hooks down a notch. With the hammock taut, you have enough clearance to not hit the bar (or just barely brush it) if you are distributing your weight appropriately. The stand isn't sealed - it has numerous holes (that aren't always lined up perfectly- aesthetic issue) - & seems prone to rust & eventually collapse. I don't expect this thing to last for years, but will get some use before that fateful day. I would not plan on leaving it outside. Hammock & stand are fairly light & you can pick it up from the middle of the bottom bar to transport it, with some minor balancing required. It definitely takes up some space, so you should plan on that (or taking it apart every time, which seems like an annoyance as well). The product itself we've used for a few (3) months now, getting in an hour or 2 every week or so. It holds me & my little one (~240 lbs), as well as some books, drinks, & snacks (# varies widely based on how many books the little one is trying to read). All-in-all, I have regrets, but seems like a decent investment for a few years of relaxation. ... show more

I got it without expert assembly and it was extremely simple to set up & if anyone has trouble you can YouTube this hammock bought on Amazon and there is videos. It took me 5 minutes tops, it fits on my porch which isn’t so big. It fit me 160 pounds and my 2 kids which are both around 45/50 pounds, you can also sit multiple ways on the hammock with still extreme comfort. I love this hammock it was worth every penny ! The ends needs to be stretched out in order to make it on both hooks after set up that was the ONLY semi difficult part, but once the rope was around the hook and I sat in the hammock, it wasn’t so tight anymore ... show more

    • Easy to assemble but.....
It was very easy to put together. There were no instructions, but i just looked at the picture on Amazon and easily figured it out. It does not fit tightly together, which will make it easy to disassemble. But it feels like it's going to fall apart. This stand is extremely low to the ground. If you are sitting upright, you are about one inch from the bar. Lying down, i can easily put my hand flat on the ground to my side an i am only 5'4". The hammock. It is made of cotton, it is exactly like the cotton ropes in mops. I am not going to be able to just leave it outside. This material would suck up all the rain and wouldn't dry out for days. I'm afraid it will just fall apart, get moldy, or rot. The last hammock I had of this material, the end ropes rotted and broke within a summer being left outside. So I have to keep in in my musty garage when not in use lest it unexpectedly rain. This is a big inconvenience. So i wish it were of a better,thinner,more water resistant material. I will spend a lot of time in it and for the price i suppose it is ok. But I am disappointed. ... show more

First...it was delivered WITHOUT any accessories so we had to purchase the hooks and screws. First time my husband sat in it, the one arm totally bent! He's only 240. Bits weighted weighted 450!!!
