The mat’s size was as advertised, and the transport straps are very simple to use. I have zero problem rolling up the mat and putting the strap on myself. There were reviews about a powerful smell coming from the mat, which made me nervous, but I ended up ordering one anyways. The actual smell wasn’t powerful at all and it’s basically what you would expect from a product like this. So yeah, I was either lucky or most of the mats don’t have that problem. Again, some reviews were saying it slips on the ground at times. I haven’t noticed any slippage. It’s one inch thick so the mat itself is pretty heavy and the material sticks pretty well to my hardwood floor. The foam material the mat is made of is very soft and easy on your body when you’re stretching and doing your work-out. It’s actually soft enough where I can imagine it can be somewhat easy to accidentally cut it or tear it on a sharp edge if you’re not careful, especially on the bottom of the mat. If you tend to roll up the mat to transport it, you will have to roll it in the opposite direction once you unroll it to stop the mat from curling. Maybe that will get easier to do as the mat gets older. Pretty minor stuff though considering the material is what you wanted when you bought this mat. And even if the edge of the mat curls, I don’t see how it affects you during your ground exercises, except for aesthetic purposes when you’re not standing on it. The mat is of course bigger than most mats during transport because yeah, one inch foam mat. Your body will thank you when you’re doing planks though. I was very happy with the quality of this purchase!

This mat that I received is the correct mat. I left a post earlier when I received the wrong mat. This is the correct one and it is awesome! It is just under an inch wide. It is super thick. It is very comfortable. I use it on a cement floor which is the reason I wanted the one inch thick mat. It is worth it! This is just as described. It's long so I can stretch out on it fully (I'm 5'10"). I'm very happy with my purchase

The BalanceFrom exercise mat is thick and dense. Not so soft that you sink into it, but dense enough that you can do your yoga exercises/poses and maintain your balance. Able to perform my exercises even with arthritic knees and shoulders. Recommend for anyone who needs cushioning and stability.

This mat is thick and extremely comfortable. I feel this mat has great cushion and support for sensitive knees and other joints. The mat has ridges and helps prevent slipping and sliding when doing certain poses. Since the mat is so thick it does make it more difficult to store and may be inconvenient for some to carry to a class. To me it’s definitely worth the purchase!

As noted in other reviews, this mat does have a very strong chemical smell when first opened. However, after letting it air out, that odor was gone within a day or so. Also, as noted in other reviews, the corners can curl under, but after flipping it over and letting those curlings flatten out, that is no longer an issue. Meanwhile, it is very comfortable. Even with my arthritic knees, I can kneel on it without any pain. So far, it has held up well with no signs of tearing ( I only use it barefoot or in socks ), and it is not so thick as to impede any balance positions. Very happy with this mat.
