Description

The BAKFlip MX4 was the first matte-finished, hard folding cover to market, becoming America’s 1 Selling Hard Folding Cover in just a few years. Simply put, the MX4 just looks better than other covers. Its sleek no-profile appearance allows you to maintain the appearance of your truck, while enabling you to securely stow cargo in the bed. The MX4’s pioneering, textured matte- finish adds a premium look and feel while also protecting against UV damage, annoying finger print marks, and scratches. MX4 has everything you expect from a premium cover. The engineers at BAK Industries fine-tuned even the smallest elements of the cover, down to adding cab corner caps and rail-end cap, to extending a matte-finish throughout the cover’s side rails, clamps, and elevator bolts. The MX4’s integrated buckle system and automatic latching mechanism allows you to drive with the cover partially or fully opened without covering the 3rd brake light. For 100% bed access, simply unlock the cover from either side via its pull latches and fold the cover all the way up against the cab. From there, you can prop the cover in place by tightening two rods into the underside of the panel. For enhanced durability, the MX4 also features pre-molded, shock-absorbent bumpers on either side of the panel, protecting the folded panels from hitting the cover during turbulent driving. Rain or shine, the MX4 provides confident cargo storage that’s complete with dual drain tubes to divert water away from the truck bed, as well as full perimeter seals to help protect against water intrusion. Recieved Product intact in box, However the Drain Cups were missing which was dissapointing considering i tried ordering similar product directly from RealTruck but never recieved it. It pained me to call them again after I canceled my order originally from them for I never recieved the item and not knowing when item will be shipped, but kept telling me same story over and over again and than finally I got tired of waiting and cancled my order online with them and called them to refund my money and i have been waiting now for over a week and still not credited, so i ordered the F1 model because Amazon had it in stock and recieved it in a couple days but to find out missing drain cups, hence the pain on calling Realtruck and forwarded to BAK for missing parts and waiting on the phone for over an hour. Good news i recieved the Drain Cups which i was shocked to see them come in after 3 days. So the product itself is awesome easy to install and i would give it 5 stars if it wasn't for the missing parts. ... show more

Everything that I saw for the RAM trucks with the split tailgate said that aftermarket brackets were NECESSARY to install a bedcover, and unfortunately, I ordered them. If you have the split tailgate, save yourself some money and time, and just go with this bedcover. It even utilizes the OEM brackets in the bedcover install. I'm giving it 5 stars because it looks beautiful on my truck, like it was made perfectly for it, which it was! It took my husband and me about an hour to install, and it went pretty seamlessly. I'm not expecting it to be 100% waterproof, especially because of the gap between the tailgate split (pictured), but I believe things will stay mostly dry especially near the cab where this cover comes with a drainage system. Barring any torrential leakage when I get out in the rain, I'll leave this review at 5 stars. ... show more

would not work on my 2023 ram truck.even though it was made to fit my truck with the corner brackets it still would not fit.The rail system i noticed is not as good as the one i had on my 2022 ram limited.it appears like its cheaply made.I would not buy again.

    • Not all panels lock - security issue.

When I installed the cover, I noticed one of the panels did not have a locking mechanism on it. If you lift the cover at this point, you can actually get your hand in there and open the adjacent panel which then allows you to open all of them and get into the truck bed. After weeks of trying get information about this, they finally simply tell me that the middle panel purposely does not have a latch to head off future problems. ?? What the heck kind of answer is that? No explanation of what the issue is. No up-front information letting the buyer know that one of the panels will not lock thereby making the entire item accessible to thiefs. Why not send the parts and include information about the issue and let the buyer decide if they want to install the latch? Overall, the part looks good, fits fairly well (not gonna be water tight) and was easy to install. I just wish I had known about the missing latch up front and had some indication as to what problem it is they are trying to avoid by not including it. I guess if that's the way it comes then that's what you get. I might have looked for a different cover had I known but, my tailgate ( multi-functional RAM gate) doesnt' have many options when it comes to hard covers. ... show more
