This baitcasting reel sucks. I’ve bought others similar to this price but this one is just bad. First impressions when out the box was that it looked decent. (I bought this for my brother, as he’s trying to learn) this Baitcaster has issues. First thing I noticed was the the “magnetic brake system” had no numbers, does not click in place and can spin around and around, although it does have some tension when going either left or right, you have no idea where it exactly is and can rotate it PAST the point to where it should stop on regular Baitcaster. It can easily be moved and mess up your whole cast which is a huge flaw. Second thing I noticed was that it was not oiled or greased. When I took my first cast, I could hear a grinding noise that turned me away from wanting to take any more casts. Even with reel oil, it could not help the grinding noise it made. Thirdly, the spool moves as you try to retrieve your lure. If I could choose between either this baitcasting reel or a stick and line, I’m going with the stick and line. That’s how bad this is. I got it for my brother to use and practice but this is just garbage. As many cheap Baitcasters as I have bought before, this one is by far the worst. Need a refund. 0 stars. ... show more

After installing this reel on my rod I went out for a day of fishing. After only only a few casts I got a huge bite and my boat lurched forward. I fought for 3 hours until i finally saw something surface. All of a sudden standing before was a giant crustacean from the Paleolithic era. I was terrified as the creature bent down and whispered “can i get about tree fiddy” I yelled “DAMN IT MONSTA” and turned my boat around went home. Great reel love the color. ... show more
