I cook a lot of rice every week so I keep a lot on hand at my house and my boyfriends. I convinced him to give this a try and I’m so happy we did! It’s simple, nice design, and fits perfectly as well as holding plenty of rice. The material is a sturdy plastic and the price is just right. I removed only one start because the lid doesn’t sit very securely, but I store things on top so I suppose it’s not a huge issue. The button is a very simple open close mechanism so doesn’t rely on batteries or electricity which I love because I’m not worried about a motor or batteries dying. It releases a steady stream of rice, not too fast and I can get the perfect amount out. My favorite thing: the cup with the drainage holes! I always rinse my rice and sometimes twice so not having to use my hand and lose a bunch is life changing.

I have purchased two of these dispensers now. This dispenser holds a 25lb bag of rice, keeps it fresh with a tight seal to prevent any unwanted visitors from taking up residence. One criticism is the measuring cup provided. If you go by the markings listed they are way off from any rice cooker. One cup marked on this measure is in reality two cups of rice measurements. This is, however, not a big deal, you are just aware of the measures and dispense accordingly. Very easy to use, just press the button for the desired amount of rice, and you only have to lift the heavy bag once when you initially fill it. I liked it so much I ordered another as a gift. Well worth the price if you use a lot of rice, or only use it occasionally but like to buy in bulk.

I use a LOT of rice. Rather than having to deal with a big bag spilling all over the floor every time I pull it out of the pantry, or storing it in a smaller container that I'm guaranteed to drop and break when I pull it out (it's happened more than once), I wanted something to store it where it's easily accessible. This holds my entire bulk size bag! It fits perfectly on the counter under my cabinets. Easy to fill from the top, and the accompanied marked cup makes it easy to measure. The only con k minor) is that when you're running low, you need to shake the rice to the front door it to dispense properly. But overall, it is exactly what I needed and a worthy investment.

I use this all the time for rice. My only complaint is that it doesn't evenly dispense the rice, so I only add new rice when its super low or empty. Other than that, it makes life sooooo much easier. The included rinse cup is useless for rinsing, but it measures just fine.
