Quick seam stitching for most all bags materials. The stitcher moves very fast, so you must be prepared for action when pushing the trigger switch. I’ve found it useful for resealing bags of wildlife and pet food and for bagging to seal smaller quantities of food, keeping pests and contamination out. The stitched seam produced by this machine looks pretty much the same as those on commercial products. The machine is heavy in the hand, so it pays to have everything organized and ready to roll before you pull the machine out for stitching, such as having the bags filled and sitting up straight with all folds clean. The photo shows the bag feed area of the stitching machine. There is no lift up “presser foot” on this stitcher like that on a conventional sewing machine. See photo for the proper bag feed area. This very complete set includes instructions, 2 extra spools of thread, machine oil, a replacement belt, and sewing needles. It comes pre-threaded and ready to plug in for use. The AC power cord is extra-long with the connection to the stitcher heading out at an angle which is useful. Not everybody has a use for a handheld bag sewing machine, but as someone who does a lot of animal feeding and works with many different food types, this is a very useful machine to have on hand. This thing is AMAZING. It’s sturdy, built to last, and so fast and easy to use. Although it’s advertised as not intended for household use, I keep finding all sorts of uses for it — restitching fertilizer and weed/feed bags to keep unused portions fresh, closing 50 lb bags of animal feed, stitching sandbags (I live in flood-prone Florida), and even stitching tarps together. It’s simple to thread — the videos on the Amazon product page are very helpful. It's fairly quiet for an industrial stitcher. This bag-sewing machine makes quick work of heavy-duty bag sealing and I’m very glad I got it.

Babulas Bag Sewing Machine - This machine is stout, and could definitely hold up to some heavy usage.I ordered it, thinking that it was for sewing backpacks and purses, not bags of feed and seed. Although it is not what I was expecting, I think that it could be used to make quick repairs to pretty much any heavy duty material, such as backpacks and sails. However, that does not appear to be its intended usage. This is more for people who are bagging crops, feed, etc and need to seal burlap, paper, or cloth bags quickly and efficiently. I will keep it on hand, just in case I need to repair a tarp or something, but I don't produce enough harvest to have to bag it. I will say that if I needed one of these every day I would have gone with the cordless model.

This is a heavy (really) duty machine that can stitch through just about anything I can think of. It does a great job on canvas. it is a bit heavy to hold and needs a little experience before being decent at sewing. Good price and value for the money.

I ordered this for more heavy duty projects but also to help my husband repair his outdoor event tent. The machine works well, but is quite heavy. You really need some muscle for it. The cord is also not very long for it being handheld, so prepare to need an extension cord when using. Otherwise, it's been great for my needs so far and my husband feels confident to use it without my help when he needs (given he has no sewing machine background).

This has a lot of power! It's definitely going to take time to learn how to use it. It's really too heavy to hold in your hand and sew. It's going to need to be stabilized on a table and held in place. Maybe a man can use this without this but I can't. Really loud too!! The cord could be longer.
