I bought a 2004 BMW R1150R last summer that has a rather uncomfortable aftermarket gel seat. Sargent and Corbin saddles for this bike run upwards of $700, and they're no guarantee in fixing the problem. The seat pads I researched, like the Airhawk et al, got decent reviews, but I wasn't crazy about the design: pumping air into the seat. I wasn't sure about the gel seats, either. Most of them got mixed reviews and were more than I wanted to pay. Then I came across this seat pad. It's inexpensive and not as gimmicky as something like the Airhawk. And it didn't seem like it would negatively affect my seating position/center of gravity like some of the gel seats, and air seats, seemed to do (according to reviews). When I received it, the 1st thing I noticed was the crushed velcro strips on the seat straps, which didn't adhere to one another at all. I was pleased by the design of the seat, though: it's interwoven mesh combined with what feels like tiny little gelatin capsules (for padding). It claims to afford better comfort and better airflow, which seems like a legit claim based on the design. Despite the sad velcro strips, I wanted to see how it fit on my saddle. Turns out, it fit perfectly! Now, I have to admit that I didn't test ride it (snow on the ground), but I did sit on it and it made a noticeable difference. I can't wait for riding weather! As for the sad velcro strips on the seat straps, I contacted Regina at BadAssMoto (a new company est. 2014), and she didn't hesitate to send me a new seat pad, no charge, which had much better velcro strips. So, if you don't want to spend a ton of cash on a seat pad, give this a shot--I think you'll be pleased with it. ... show more

I installed a jell pad into the foam of the seat of my klr650. In the direct sun it superheated and retained all of that heat for about 40min during my commute. Probably kept the seat at 110f a full 20min into my commute. This seat cover complete separated me from the heat. Unridable without it.

Awesome product. Just received for my BMW 1200 GS. The seat was comfortable, it just got too hot in the afternoon so I knew I needed some ventilation. Looked at a few seat upgrades in the $500 and up range but knew I really just needed a cover that could breathe. This one does very well. Took it out for the first ride (it was 58 degrees that morning) and I knew it would work already. That's the first time my rear has ever gotten cold riding - didn't even happen at 33 degrees in CO a few weeks back. Rode for hours and could feel the slight cool sensation of ventilation. Got home and it was 88 degrees. Got off and was shocked that my riding jeans were completely dry. Ah, money well spent. I'm very happy with it as it performs perfectly and the price was right. The only improvement I could make would be if they offered the material in larger sheets so you could cover your entire seat with it. That's a purely aesthetic desire as I don't care for how universal seat toppers look. Aside from that it's amazing. You will have to remove it once the weather cools as it might make your seat too cold! ... show more

I bought the beaded seat but getting older and on long trips, was getting uncomfortable. Purchased this one BAMoto and the way it is cut, your legs that contact the seat sweat, then it migrates back some. Wet compared to the wooden 12" beaded seat. Was comfortable, east to install, did not slip, just needs to cover the seat more AND over the edges where your legs go to keep you dry. I since ordered another seat (cool seat) and waiting for that to come in. If this seat was redesigned to go over the edges of the bikes OEM seat, then for me, it would be a win/win. ... show more

I really wanted to like this product but ultimatley I have mixed feelings about this seat cover from Bada$$ Moto. First of all, the material is like a woven plastic thread so if your wearing anything that is less thick than jeans this thing feels like sitting on a cheese grater. Also, it does very little to enhance grip on the seat so don't expect it to help there. The reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because it acutally does do the thing it claims which is to enhance airflow and it works quite nicely for that purpose and it also prevents the seat from getting scorching hot in the direct sunlight while parked. Edit: The company reached out to me and their customer service is absolutley top notch. I'm so impressed that I decided to raise one star on the review. ... show more
