First of all, if we could give this product a 10, we would! My boyfriend and I bought this for our deck. For context, it is a 2nd-floor deck on a giant hill, and we get blustery winds. We got it for being able to sit out in all kinds of weather so we can enjoy our deck. The cedar wood smells so good, and it is solid-like, 500-horsepower sturdy. My boyfriend put the whole thing up himself, and he said it was so easy to do. The reason he said that was that everything aligned; all the right parts and pieces were there and fit well, nothing had to be improvised. I watched him put it up without any swearing-he told me to put that in the feedback. He said this company knows what it is doing. It is beautiful, impressive, and sturdy. We receive all kinds of compliments on it, and I usually don't give feedback, but he insisted because it was such a great find. We even had it delivered a week earlier than promised. In case you didn't notice in the description, there is an outlet, and we are installing some fun, outdoor chandeliers for nighttime enjoyment. My only regret is that I didn't find this company and product before I went through a bunch of toads first-oh well, live and learn. We will be buying another one!

This is an awesome product, extremely well-built of solid cedar. It's beautiful and exceeded all expectations--look, feel, sturdiness. My picture show a somewhat custom installation. We wanted access from the door in the picture to the grill area, so we installed one of the side rails at a 90 degree angle. (It normally would be straight edge, like the rail on the right side.). There were no cracks or defects in any of the cedar wood pieces nor in the black matte connections/screws/parts/etc. Gorgeous. Full roof is angled to allow snow/rain to run off (hint: make sure you know where it runs to, because we get a lot of rain, and you don't want it ending up under your pergola). Now let's talk installation. I hired my handyman to assemble and install. It took him 4 days. This is not an easy project. There are literally hundreds of parts (nuts, bolts, wood, sides, rails, bars, etc. I don't think it can be done by just by anyone. But if you're a confident DIYer, and experienced, go for it, but prepared. You still may need assistance. Another hint: the big metal pieces for the roof and side bars come with plastic coverings. If you try to just unpeel the plastic, you will be at it for days. Put these pieces in the sun for about an hour. The plastic will heat up, and then you can pull it off easily from the metal. We learned this hard way after a few hours trying. (Kudos to me for getting the idea--my handyman was close to throwing the metal over the back fence in frustration.) At the end, you will end up with a beautiful pergola, perfect fit for our Weber Genesis grille. Did I forget to mention the electrical panel? We mounted it to one of the poles. It has multiple outlets for your BBQ, a phone charger, lights (not included)--even has a little tray to hold a phone while it is charging. This is a clever, well constructed product--not some cheap imported knock-off. It is certain to last for many, many years, and give us years of pleasure. Final note: we added 2 coats of stain to the cedar. It really made the wood pop. And protects it from sun and elements. Enjoy! Remember what you will have once it is done, as you are assembling. And remember this isn't something that you put together in an afternoon, or even a day. To Saxony, I can only say, "Well done dudes." You got this right.

I ordered this pergola last spring and wanted to see how it held up over a year before writing a review. After rain, snow, hail, and sleet I can safely say this is a great pergola. I haven't had any rust or wear on it at all. It was very easy to put together and I did it in just a couple of days. You will need someone to help hold the sides up to connect the front and back but it took less than 10min to attach. The instructions are clear and the pre-drilled holes makes it easy to assemble. I was missing a small section for the roof but I called the company and they were very helpful and sent me a new piece in less than a week. It's sturdy and I drilled a single screw into the concrete on each leg and it's withheld 50mph winds. It's perfect for protection from the sun and rain and looks beautiful. Yes it's spendy but after seeing reviews of cheaper pergolas that have rusted or blown over I decided it was better to get a quality pergola and spend extra money on it.

I know it's a car port, but I modified it a bit to use as a back patio. Bought additional clear panels for I've side so I could still grow my plants under it and used the remaining extra panels to overhang my existing house roof to cover the spread so there's no rain that gets between it and the house. I didn't attach to the house, it's freestanding. I actually had to reduce the size a bit and cut some wood to make it fit the space. One thing I will say is that 10 min after I ordered it I realized it was going to be about a foot too big and there was NO way to cancel it, no ma'am, one you order it your screwed, and it's not an inexpensive thing - that kinda ticked me off bc literally it was 10 min later, no exaggeration. Be sure when you hit the order button bc there's no going back, money is sunk. The app is nice, but i just used the manual it came with. One thing I will say is that the wood felt on the lighter side, which worried me a bit. Looks beautiful but it will dent and marr up somewhat easily when assembling. I did 99% of it myself sans actually raising and joining the walls. Since I shortened it a bit I didn't put on the flashing, but it does come with it. It's nice and sturdy (the main columns are hollow though, if you're wondering - not solid 6-bys). This was a relatively expensive purchase for me and i was nervous about it, but after some mods it's really made the space much more enjoyable. I couldn't ever go back to a cloth covered metal-frame $100 gazebo. Might buy the smaller version to ACTUALLY use as a carport ;)

I had been debating this purchase for months and finally pulled the trigger. It took two of us about seven hours to put this together. If someone is in better shape, they may be able to do it a bit faster. When it came time to put the roof on, we did need a third person, but all in all, this completely transformed our rear deck and made it a place where our family and friends desired to gather. The wooden roof cross members had a few slightly warped pieces. After juggling the pieces a little, we got them all into slots that fit well. I'm now able to fit my commercial infrared grill, my Blackstone, and my Bronco smoker under this while friends sit on the ends and watch me cook. No more cooking in the rain and snow. The hooks allow me to stow all of the tools I frequently use too. I did purchase the stools and stool cushions pictured. They, too, are a great addition and fit well. The cushions are magnetic and are able to be stowed under the metal end counters to keep them dry. If I ever have the need, I will purchase this item again.

We recently purchased the Backyard Discovery Arcadia 12’ x 9.5’ Gazebo and overall we’re very happy with it. The finished product looks beautiful in our backyard and adds a great outdoor living space. The cedar wood and dark roof give it an attractive, high end appearance, and it feels sturdy once assembled. Assembly was fairly straightforward. It definitely takes time and an extra set of hands, but the instructions were clear and the process was manageable for a DIY project. The reason for the 4 star rating instead of 5 is that one of the galvanized steel roof panels arrived with a hole/tear in it. We discovered the damage during installation, which was disappointing given the cost of the gazebo. Fortunately, the damage is limited to a single panel, but quality control and packaging could be improved to prevent issues like this. Overall, we still really like the gazebo and are glad we purchased it. If the damaged roof panel had not been an issue, this would have easily been a 5 star product. Pros: * Beautiful finished appearance * Sturdy construction * Straightforward assembly instructions * Great addition to a patio or backyard space Cons: * Roof panel arrived damaged with a hole in the metal * Quality control could be better for shipping and packaging

We had the smaller version of this, but are adding on to our outdoor cooking gear and wanted a bigger covered area. First, the delivery was very easy. It was delivered by a local company about 5 days ahead of schedule. All pieces came in 2 very large, and heavy boxes. The delivery team set it where I asked, even had a pallet for it. I unboxed, sorted all the pieces and looked everything over. Boxes are packed with care, fillers where needed so nothing could move during shipping. We wanted to apply a water proofing agent to all the wood, so coming early allowed this to be done. Looked through the assembly instructions a coupe times before starting. The kit comes with the different bits for assembly with your provided screw gun. Only other thing I needed was a wrench. I assembled the 2 end sections myself, then the front and back tops. Had everything ready and my son came over to help put the bigger sections together. We then assembled the roof, without the tin, then put that in place. Once it was secured, I was then able put the tin on myself. Put the roof trim on, then the sides spindles and shelves. The directions are very easy to follow. One tip, the suggest laying out all the hardware and bolt kits on a table. This made it so much easier. All parts bags are numbered and by doing this it makes it supper simple to find the correct parts when needed. As far as assembly time, We figured we had 8 total man hours into it. Highly recommend.

This came in 2 very large boxes on a pallet. We bought it to cover our BBQ. My son and husband put it together in about 3 hours. Its sturdy and well made. Looks great. It is a lot of pieces so don't be discouraged. Once they laid everything out and got organized it seemed like it went pretty fast.
