This camera looks great.. The install was easy, however, if your using the PAC CAM-TY11 Reverse Camera Harness. Follow my installation, first mount the camera securly to the "factory" mounting location on the upper license plate. Drill 1 hole and thread the camera metal thread. I then used the washer and nut to securly fasten the camera, next drill a hole into the metal trunk to allow the end of the camera "bolt" to have room. I used a little caulk and made a water tight seal. Next attached the mini connector to the RCA wire the red wire on both ends is for the power. Do not attached the power (red) to the reverse lights, as the Camry lightening system uses 6v power. Run the cable up to the Radio dash. See YouTube videos for your car. Attach the RCA into the T-Harness and the Red to a 12v supply, I used the near by 12v power mounted on the console panel. No need to ground the camera! The RCA appears to give the ground to the camera, it doesn't say that in the instruction install guide. Also remove the plastic protection from the camera lens after finished. The Sony CCD camera looks rather good to me. The Rear lamps provide enough light for at night.

I bought two of these for front/rear views on our Porsche Carrera. Being low-slung automobiles, there is a constant concern of a nasty chin scrape when parking up against curbs and parking space blocks, and a front cam comes in real handy! These cams are very solid and seem rugged, metal encased, and I like that there's only a small hole to bore for the cable and the mount. They look like a 5-star product and I give it that even though I haven't - and can't - use them. This is because of a FATAL FLAW, which is that - at least for my installation - in order to mount the cam you have reach in behind it and spin on and tighten a nut. On Carreras and Boxsters this would mean removing the whole bumper cover (a lot of extra work) to get in behind the mounting spot. The only reasonable cam type for our installation therefore allows for full mounting from the outside. I didn't realize this and now have two cams I can't use (and can't return because the packaging is torn up and I mounted the video cables into the back of the console and routed them in the body before realizing that the cams would be unreasonably hard to install). I am absolutely sure that there are many other vehicles for which this is not a problem. But, I thought I should point this issue out to prospective buyers to make sure that there is access behind the mount point in which the nut can be installed and tightened.

Good camera, quick shipping, installed 4 of them on 2015 Jeep JKU, Using the mygig lockpick pro. I have washed the jeep with pressure washer and the cameras did not fog. Great definition in daylight and good clarity at night. The small connection piece on the end of the camera cable makes it easy to install even in side mirrors. The ability to mirror or no mirror is very useful. All in all a very good piece of equipment for the price point. I would highly recommend.

The camera comes in a pretty complete kit. Everything you need to install into your vehicle as long as your head unit / car stereo has the correct input for a rear camera. I've installed quite a few cameras in my cars and friends cars so I've got some experience with different manufacturers of rearview cams. I purchased this camera due to the description saying it was "Ultra HD".... well.... it's not. The picture quality is good... better than some others that I've installed... but not nearly as good as the OEM HD cameras I've seen.... but AGAIN.. you get what you pay for. If you want OEM HD picture quality and true HD night vision.... open your wallet and pay up. If you are looking for something to help you parallel park your minivan or other SUV ... this camera will work just fine. It was on the lower end of the price scale so taking that into consideration.... It performed above its price point. Also, it's been through a few dozen car washes and there's no water damage.

Replaced my old cheap camera, that had 0.10 LUX illumination, with this Coolint brand, having 0.01 LUX. The night vision difference is literally like night and day. In the evening, when the Sun has just gone down, the camera image is as bright as high noon. At night, the image is very clear, even when I cannot see a thing with my bare eyes.

Pros: I installed this backup camera with an ATOTO A6. It works well and the picture quality is good enough. Installation time took less then 3 hours. As others mentioned I too had to buy an M8 1.25 nut from HD. I would also recommend buying a washer and lock out washer for the extra $0.33. Connect the pink wire from the ATOTO to reverse light positive (+12v). This purchase came with rubber pads to adjust the camera angle (not needed for my car), a thick double sided sticker, 3-4 T splicers, the camera, and an RCA cable with additional wire. Cons: The 4pin barrel connector connecting the camera to the RCA/powercable is loose. Randomly the camera will lose power (causing the ATOTO not to switch into reverse camera mode) or RCA video will be lost (causing ATOTO to go into reverse mode but show an exclamation mark). Sometimes the camera will be working when I come home and the next morning I use the car and the reverse camera won't be working. I sent an email to the seller but they didn't respond back (its been 7 days). I plan to cut off the barrel connector and splice the wires together.

I bought this in December 2016 to add a backup camera to a 2008 Ford Fusion. Installed easily in the plastic trim on trunk, with just a small hole in plastic and another in metal trunk to pass the wire. Tapped into the reverse light for power and there was a ground in the trunk. No reverse signal was necessary for the Pioneer touch screen radio installed for a screen. Solid feel to this camera, not cheap plastic. Finish still looks good. Clear picture in day and night, but would not say OEM clear. Would buy again for a new project, but need one that mounts on a vertical surface.
