The media could not be loaded. Like many F150's, the backup camera on my 2010 F150 Lariat started going wonky a few years ago. It worked sometimes, but probably didn't work about 30-40% of the time. About a year ago, it had gotten to the point where it didn't work most of the time. I saw this camera come up in recommended items on Amazon so I decided to give it a try first before spending the money on the OEM replacement. I researched it before installation and learned that the Ford logo has to be removed to install the camera and the tabs on the logo would break, so I went ahead and ordered a new bracket & logo from Amazon before installation (you can just buy a logo, but I chose to replace the entire bracket; do your research but that seemed the best option for me, YMMV). I also read that I may have to have the camera programmed in order to have the red and green backup guidelines and the trailer hitch guidelines, but I also saw from several online videos that most the time this wasn't necessary. I installed the new bracket, camera, & logo today, which took about 10 or 15 minutes (7mm socket & #25 Torx bit were all that was needed). As you can see in the pic and video above, it worked perfectly, no programming needed. In fact, it seems to me that the guidelines are much brighter and the resolution seems to be much higher than the original camera. This is a great value and an easy do-it-yourself job. Don't hesitate to get this camera. It's a 100% winner.

Let me start by saying the product looks GOOD in-hand and Presentation is great. The actual installation is VERY easy and only takes a flat head screw driver, T25 screw driver bit and a 7mm or 9/32 socket. From breakdown to installnid say this is a 15-20min job. Image Quality: The image quality is not OEM quality but is fine and gets the job done. The reason I needed to change out my camera is that my image was inverted and this solved my problem. If you can live with the image quality being slightly less than the OEM at a fraction of the price...then I highly recommend.

I had replaced the original with one from Amazon that worked intermittently and eventually stopped working. After replacing it with this one, the backup camera come on clearly and has been consistently working. Hopefully it lasts as long as the original. Keep in mind that the reference lines may not be accurate as that requires additional configuration by the dealer. I don't mind them not working correctly.

I used this in my 2014 Raptor. It is an exact match to the OEM one. It is a simple matter to install yourself, just be wary of breaking plastic tabs on your vehicle, as most of these vehicles are approaching 10 years old if not older. The installation on my truck was straightforward. Had to take the back panel off the tailgate to access the latch and camera assembly. When I pulled off the Ford emblem, I broke a retaining tab on it, so had to replace the emblem. Apparently that logo breaking is a common issue on the F150 side. Pulled the old camera off, plugged the new one in. Tried the truck in reverse and the jump in clarity from old to new was quite remarkable. I'd definitely recommend this product if you're looking for a solid OEM replacement part.

First and foremost - dont expect your local dealership to install this for you. They understandably recommended sticking with Ford parts. This is likely more to guard their margins, warranty backings, etc. Installing these are fairly easy to DIY with the right tools and if you are handy with working on vehicles - I am not. I have a few OEM cameras from Ford due to prior failures of my backup camera - and this looks identical to the other Fusion ones. I have not installed this in my vehicle but did look it over for sound electronics and seals, both of which looked fine. Camera accepted voltage, and appears to be fully functional.
