We are switching from Direct tv to a streaming service. We have 1 Roku tv but the other 3 have Roku express boxes. We bought this so we don’t have to work with multiple remotes. It was easy to program and works well. You do have to switch from TV to Stream once the tv is on. You can raise and lower the volume in stream mode, but have to switch to TV mode to turn the TV on & off. This is worth the trade off worth not having to switch between 2 remotes.

Soo much better than the others, the control buttons are placed where you can learn them. User friendly. The buttons you use the most are put where you can use them, not the bottom of it.

Oh dear....all the "codes". I just wanted a remote with a light for some old 'barely-smart" tv's. I'm usually fairly good at setting up electronics, but I could not get this remote to work properly. I'll grant you, the problem was likely me, but eh, I don't need a light that bad. The remote itself is ok; light weight compared to the remote that came with tv. The color aspect was fun, but unnecessary. The price is very reasonable and had my tv's been able to connect without an overabundance of pushing buttons, I would have kept them.

My remote to my tv broke so I needed a replacement. This universal remote was very easy and quick to set up. Its lightweight and I like that the buttons light up. It works perfect for my TCL Roku tv.

Liked: 1. Quick to setup Roku, Bose, and Sony devices. Comes with an easy manual and code list. And the setup took just 10 minutes. 2. The device is light and small. 3. Even the * on Roku works on this remote. Including the shortcuts to Netflix, etc. 4. Master Volume control instructions allow volume control across all devices. Dislike: 1. Need to point the remote almost directly to the devices. I think thats because the battery is AAA and the signal strength is low. I wish it was stronger, with AA battery. I am willing to pay double for that: manufacturers, if you are listening. 2. The buttons are really TiNY. I wish they were twice the size, especially the mute, and the device buttons and the dvd buttons. They do have enough space on the remote to make it twice the size. The streaming buttons are perfect sized. 3. It drains batteries. I have to recharge batteries every 2 months or so. I think this is because the backlight comes on every time you press a button and stays on for a few seconds. That is such a waste. They need to have a way to turn off the backlight. Overall, still good. Tips: Use the home button to check your Roku. And read the included manual for useful tips, like how to ‘Enable master volume’ and how to enable other features.
