I have lower back pain and hoped this would at least decrease the pain. Unfortunately, for me at least this belt really didn't do the trick. It is well made, a lot of attention to detail and the over all design is very nice looking. But this is not really about looks but rather effectiveness. And this is where this belt really didn't perform. When I tried the belt with the lumbar pad in place I found the pad quite bulky. When I tried sitting the pad put uncomfortable pressure on my lower back. Now when walking I did get some welcome support from the belt. But over time that pad again proved uncomfortable. So I took the pad off to see how that would work. And again for me it just didn't. I could feel those support struts through the belt material. Which I just couldn't handle for too long a time. I can't say for certain this wouldn't work for what ever pain you might be suffering from. I just know for me-and as mentioned-I tried it several different ways. It just didn't do the job. I did get some support when walking but over not too long a time this product became uncomfortable. Disappointed.

I occasionally have back pain, often when doing heavy lifting or when I need bend over for too long. My posture could also be better at times and I often find myself slouching while sitting at the desk for too long. I have tried a couple of smaller back braces that have helped somewhat, but this one is definitely an improvement over those others. Much wider in the back, and has a lumbar support none of my others have. There are two sets of fasteners that are used to put this on. You first attach it around your waist with the velcro fasteners and then pull the handles on each that pulls the straps to tighten it. You just pull until you have the desired pressure. I haven’t had the usual back pain when doing heavy lifting while wearing this, and my posture has definitely improved. It prevents me from slouching as much, and the constant pressure reminds me to try and maintain a good posture. For me, that extra little lumbar support piece works well, as long as I’m not going to be sitting much. It gives me the extra support while I’m standing or moving about, but I find it a bit uncomfortable while I’m sitting. Both my car and office chair have good lumbar support, so that may be the issue. Might work well if the backrest of the chair I was sitting on did’t have much of a lumber support. It is removable, so I am happy to have it when I need it. My pants normally is a size 38” and the large fit me perfectly. I can adjust this to give a very snug fit, but there’s still some adjustment room in either direction. Do note that you should go by the sizing chart and not your usual letter size. Normally I would order slacks in XL. I certainly can wholeheartedly recommend this wide, supportive back brace with a removable lumbar support.

This have been the most supportive and yet comfortable back brace I've ever had. It has a firm, but not a solid metal lumbar pad which makes it comfortable yet stable. It has two straps. First is to close the brace. Second is the velcro elastic strap that tightens it which is such a genius design. I used to have my wife pull hard to get the brace tight enough, with this I can do it alone. It is such a quality of life improvement and making it very easy to use. Size wise, I think due to the elastic strap, it is safe to go up a size. I am normally a small but I can comfortably wear a large. This is actually perfect since this size fits everybody in our household. I don't know if its okay to size down. Therefore, I would recommend to go a size up. Overall, I love this brace so much that I've thrown all our old braces. Definitely worth the price!

I ordered this Cerviva Back Brace in a Large and it is exactly the size I expected. It works very well on a man with a 36in waist and it is adjustable enough that it can easily go several inches larger. The center stay is wide and very rigid without much, if any, give to it. The two side stays are more narrow and a little more flexible, but they still provide lots of support. All three stays have curved ends and are well padded so they don't poke into the back. There are several different types of fabric that make up the panels with different levels of elasticity, and the whole thing is very well put together. The seams are sewn securely and there are no ragged edges or loose threads. The straps are also a combination of stretchy and static. The crisscrossing straps look complicated, but they are very easy to adjust and secure in place. The velcro is very strong and doesn't pull apart without some effort. There's also a triangle-shaped lumbar pillow, and while I didn't at first think that it would be all that useful, it's actually really great for keeping good posture while sitting, particularly when sitting in a vehicle for hours. This is a very well made and well designed back brace that is comfortable enough to wear all day.

This back brace is the most supportive and comfortable that I have tried. I wore it all morning walking around on my errands and was surprised at how helpful it was. I have been suffering with back pain for many years and have tried many back braces in the past. It comes with a removable lumbar support which I found helpful. I ordered a size large as I was on the lower end on the sizing scale. I might have been better off with a medium but the large seemed to get tight enough with the extension straps crossing over each other. This brace is a winner.
