Okay so I have lower back problems from a car accident I had got into last year. I visited a chiropractor for a couple of months and now I'm doing much better. But I know that I don't want to go out my way to strain my back so I decided to get this back brace. Wearing the back brace gives you a kind of waist trainer feel, but also it helps me with my posture so when I am lifting heavy boxes at my job, that I'm not straining my lower back in any way. At first it's a bit confusing on how to out this in, there isn't a left and right strap that you cross, they come pre-crossed so it'll take a second of looking at it to get it just right. Once it was on however, I don't personally like when it's crossed. It's makes me feel claustrophobic just with the constant feeling of something on my neck and after I happened to step past a mirror I saw this little gem. Apparently it wasn't just ON my neck it was squeezing it pretty hard. I've kept both straps to their respective sides and tightened it a bit more and will use it as a normal vest style instead of crossing them ... show more

This back brace gave me just enough support that it helped with my moderate back pain without feeling like I was too tightly corseted. I didn't realize that I would like the suspenders so much but it is nice that they are there and that they are removable if you don't want to use them. I sometimes have a hard time with braces because of my shorter torso but this was seemed to flare a little by the hips so I don't feel like its cutting down into my hip area. I ordered this back brace for use at my work. We sometimes have to lift 25 pounds or more from shelves to carts and so forth. I have a lower back brace that I use at home when walking on the treadmill and I don't like to carry it from home to work and back (I never know when I need it at work). This brace is perfect for work. It's easy to put on and provides a little better support than my other brace. This is probably due to the shoulder straps (not on my old brace).
