The first one I purchased lasted over 10 years. I sold it at a yard sale for $20. It still worked, but it was getting tired. After 10 years, I was not surprised. The cheap, $20 hair dryers only last about a year. For this one to last over 10 made it worth the investment. So, after burning up two cheap conair models, I broke down and purchased another BabyBliss. The same model that I had previously. I couldn't be happier. It is a bit heavier, so that may be an issue for some people, but the reason it's heavier is because it is better quality. I never get static hair and I love that I can adjust both the temperature and the amount of air. A feature I use almost daily is the cold shot button, and I appreciate that it is in a handy ergonomic spot for me to access. Love, love, love this hair dryer. ... show more

I've had this same hairdryer for about ten years. I ordered another made by the same company, but was very disappointed. The low setting was cold and the cold button was not cold. I returned that one and received this one exactly like the one I have that was slowly dying. I love it. Can't say enough about it. Not too many settings. The low setting is plenty; high setting is too hot, but slow and high speeds seem to be stronger. ... show more
