I purchased this straightener to replace a similar product from the same company. This model is a smaller version, and I was surprised by the difference that makes in using it. While the plate is only 1/2 inch narrower, it is also shorter in length, which I wasn't expecting. It still works, but it is taking a bit to get used to. I definitely like the larger plate as I have longer hair, so I'm most likely going to wind up purchasing a larger one. However, this model does work, heats up quickly, and is a good value for the price if you are good with a smaller plate. This flat iron is well made. The titanium plates are smooth with no chips, so you don't have to worry about your hair getting snagged. It heats up quickly and the digital temperature control is easy to set. As it heats, you can see the temperature digits rise which is very handy. The flat iron isn't heavy, so it's very easy to hold and twist. Also, the top doesn't get too hot to hold while you're manipulating the barrel. Best flat iron!! This is the third time I have purchased this. I keep one in my suitcase since it is a great size for traveling and doesn’t take up much room in the suitcase. I purchased we another for my daughter to take with her to college. I love the adjustable temp feature, and the plates are super smooth. My hair never gets caught in this flat iron like it has in some other flat irons I have used in the past. I still have the first one I ever bought 15 years ago and it is still going strong!
