I have the older version of this car seat that I loved so I ordered this newer version for our other vehicle. My child is 4.5 years old and about 34 pounds. Because he’s on the smaller side, I wanted a car seat that he can still use the harness on. When we adjusted this seat to his size, we are hardly able to buckle him in the seat because the straps are so tight! When we pressed the button to loosen them, we noticed that the little strap was already stretched to the max. It is also super hard to loosen and tighten the strap with the weight of a child in the seat. I called the manufacturer and they stated that they have shortened the bottom strap and they are aware that it has become an issue for customers. Their recommendation was to just use the seat and use the vehicle’s seat belt which is wild since my child does not yet meet the height and weight listed for that stage. We have returned this seat.
