We bought this for a wooden bassinet and it has ruined the finish on it. Regular movements to adjust the clip and simply attaching it to the side caused damage to the bassinet (we are VERY careful with our belongings. It was too late by the time we realized it was doing this. These are not superficial scratches but dug-in marks that can’t be sanded down and refinished to match the rest of the bassinet. Very disappointed in the poor design that account for this, and would not recommend to anyone.

Me and my wife love this camera and how easy it is to set it up anywhere and have the rechargeable screen anywhere and all the time. The camera itself needs to be hooked to power and that is not a problem for us. We also got a camera holding clip that attaches to anywhere and that was game changer if you can buy it too.

I used this with my Infant Optics DXR-8 Pro camera. That camera can't pivot down very far, so I was looking for some alternative methods to get the whole camera to be pivoted down so I could use it without having to mount sideways on the wall or upside down on the ceiling. The clamp itself is nice and tight, and successfully holds the whole assembly to whatever you clamp it to, but unfortunately the gooseneck is too loose and droopy. When I angle it over a bassinet in an upright position, it won't stay fixed in the position I need. It gets even worse if you try to clamp it facing downward and bend the gooseneck into a U shape to keep the camera upright. It doesn't ever really "settle" in my use-case, it just keeps drooping until the gooseneck rests against something rigid. Another negative is the method of mounting the Infant Optics camera - It requires the use of an adhesive on the front end, which doesn't allow for repeated mounting/dismounting. It would have been much more effective if there was some sort of mechanical latch to keep it from sliding out from the bolt catch instead. Perhaps this would work with lighter cameras, or less picky use cases, but I really do need the camera to be fixed in place for this to be an effective infant monitor mount. I will be keeping it, as it does allow me to mount the camera upside down in some positions I couldn't previously do... but I will have to figure out how to deal with the adhesive wearing out for it to continue to be useful.

This has been the perfect mount for our camera, actually going to grab a second to elevate our second camera. Clamps to anything, and the bendable arm lets you adjust it any way you need. We use it on a shelf at home, and brought it on vacation and clamped it right to the pack n play just pulled it back so it wasn't over it directly.
