  • Great quality, easy to use!
Recently bought this for our one year old after weeks of researching rotating convertible car seats, and I’m glad we chose this! Prior to this, we used a Nuna infant carrier. We chose this over staying with Nuna due to their comparable model only having a 40lb max. It was fairly easy to install. I wanted a car seat that can turn because I’m not very tall and I drive a Tahoe so it’s already a struggle to get our son in the car. He’s also a sweaty lil one so I like that it has the cooling material. Overall it feels high quality, comfortable, sturdy, safe, and fits well in the back captain seat. It wasn’t too heavy to pick up to install it. He also seems to love it and doesn’t throw fits getting in the car seat anymore. The turning feature is a life saver and game changer! It turns very smooth. The only con I can think of is the lack of transition to a booster but I’ll cross that bridge when we get there. We got this one sale for 25% off, but even if we hadn’t I think it’s still worth the price. ... show more

  • Back saver!
I spent countless hours researching rotating car seats. None of them seemed perfect to me. I wanted a car seat that has a high weight limit and can rotate in both forward and rear-facing positions. I tried the City Turn and the Evenflo Gold in my car, and while the Evenflo does have a high weight limit and rotates in both positions, I didn't like that the seat felt a bit wobbly (though I'm sure it's safe, having passed the safety tests) and the seat seemed to slant up quite steeply, which made my kiddo look like he was seated with his butt pretty low, legs sticking up at a sharp angle. Although the City Turn does not rotate when in the forward-facing position, the materials and overall build felt like higher quality to me, and I decided to let go of the forward-facing rotation capability. I imagine that by the time I turn my kiddo forward-facing, he'll be able to climb in himself, and all I'll have to do is tighten the belt. All that said, I am extremely pleased with the City Turn. I have recurring back problems and the rotation makes getting him in/out of the car nearly pain-free. The seat is cushy and he looks comfy in there. The belt tightens smoothly. The install was relatively straightforward after I watched a video. If you're considering a rotating car seat, do it! ... show more

  • LOVE this carseat
I have a 9 year old and two under two. The turning car seats are a total game changer (which didn’t exist 9 years ago) I bought one of these when my 2 year old was 10 months. I went to a store and looked at multiple rotating car seats and the quality of seat material and how easy it was to turn made this one a no brainer for me. My sister in laws both having rotating car seats from other brands and both are hard to turn when you’re holding a kid. I also picked this one because the rear facing weight limit was so high. The only draw back is once you make it a forward facing seat it doesn’t rotate anymore (I don’t know if others do). I liked this seat so much I bought a second one when my next baby was ready for a convertible as well. ... show more

  • GREAT car seat
The most amazing car seat in the world honestly. Easy to install. Easy to adjust. Great design! Turns left and right so you dont have to uncomfortably get into the car with your baby when you’re putting them in the car. On rainy days I can sit in the backseat and strap the baby in easily. So much better on our back. Very safe and easy to adjust straps on the baby. Cup holder is convenient. Has some weight to it which makes me feel like it’s durable. Spot clean or remove lining and wash. Recommend to others! ... show more

  • Rotation is worth it
My baby was getting really uncomfortable in his infant car seat and I needed to switch to a convertible but really couldn’t decide if I really needed one that rotates. I’m so glad I went for it. I love this car seat and he seems really comfortable in it. It’s so much easier to load him in when it’s facing out. The instructions looked really intimidating, but install was actually pretty easy. The only negatives are that it is quite big. I have a large SUV and I have to put the front seat really far forward in order for the car seat to not hit it when I spin it. I could adjust the recline a bit to help with this. The other is that it doesn’t have magnets on the side or any stopper on the belt to keep the buckles from sliding all the way down. I’m always digging them out after I put my baby in the seat. ... show more

  • Beautiful car seat Beautiful car seat
The first thing i noticed about this car seat is that it came in a super large and heavy box. The car seat I was previously using was a Gracco and it weighed 10lbs-so I wasn’t expecting this. Thank goodness my super brought the box up my 4 flight walk up! When you remove the car seat from the box it has significant weight- which I guess is normal for stationary car seats. So I would suggest having someone around that can help carry the box. The car seat itself is absolutely beautiful! The color, and cushioning really stand out. The car seat comes with instructions as well as a quick install guide- which I thought was cool. I read the entire manual and felt comfortable installing the car seat. My boyfriend (who is a firefighter) would normally do this but he was away on business and I needed to install the car seat ASAP since I already donated the old one. For added safety I watched a few install videos I found online and on YouTube. My son is over 25lbs and I decided to place the car seat forward facing. Per the instructions you can use this care seat in rear facing until 40lbs (I think) but I decided to forward face. The installation was very easy. The only trouble I had was that my car is an older model suv and I couldn’t locate where the tether strap anchors were located. After some googling I figured out they were in the back of the seat located in the trunk. So if you are forward facing I suggest checking on that before you try installing. Once I figured that out installation was super easy! So far my son is super comfortable and seems very happy during our car rides. Everything on this car seat is convenient and easy to operate. Overall this car seat is amazing! ... show more

  • Not the BEST rotating car seat, but a good option.
I have two rotating car seats, this one and the Cybex one. This one does some things better than the Cybex but it does some things worse. In my search for the perfect car seat…this one is good but could be better. If I had to buy another one, I would probably go try the Nuna or the Graco versions (Evenflo out of the running) and hope that they’ve addressed some of the issues mentioned below. PRO - This thing is super easy to install. I was able to get it really secure in the captains chair of an SUV without issues. Way easier than my Cybex. PRO - The turning mechanism is super easy to do with one hand. This is important when you’ve got a wiggly baby in the other arm. PRO - Built in cup holder. Fits the camelbak toddler bottles perfectly. PRO - The whole point of the turning car seat is to help make it easier to get your kid into the car, and this definitely fits the bill. I have a bad back and this thing is a lifesaver compared to other non-turning seats. I’ll never go back to non-rotating seats, given the choice. PRO - Slightly lower profile than the Cybex because it doesn’t have the load leg. But it’s still a large car seat. CON - The padded cover for the between-leg strap isn’t attached and just comes flying off every time you take the kid out. Completely unusable trash. Kid may be uncomfortable if they aren’t wearing shorts. CON - The seat turns not from the center, but from the back, so it swings out over the door threshold when it’s turned. This means you cannot close the door to some cars when it is turned. Which means while you’re holding the child you just took out of the car, you have to rotate the car seat back. Super annoying, and was not an issue with other turning car seats. This also means that younger toddlers will be unable to climb up into their seat for much longer. My 2.5 year old can get into the Cybex and her non turning Nuna by herself, but cannot get into the city turn. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve tried to close the car door only to have it bounce open. We have a LARGE SUV with captains chairs. CON - The seatbelts are short so they do NOT stay out of the way when trying to fasten the child in. You always have to fish them out from behind the child. There’s no magnets or clips or pockets like other seats have to help keep them out of the way. The chest clap feels a little cheaply made. CON - Recline can’t be adjusted on the fly like the Cybex can. Car seat has to be uninstalled to do that, but luckily this isn’t something I need to do often so it’s not a big issue. You’ll probably need to do it once between the child’s age of 0-6m. In conclusion, I would buy this car seat over the Cybex Sirona S BUT I don’t think it’s the best revolving car seat on the market. If you get it as a gift or get a good coupon for it, by all means…you’ll love it. And if you’ve never had a rotating car seat before…you’ll love it. But it has some flaws and I think they need to address these. It’s possible you could figure out a solution for a couple of them or perhaps installing it in a different type of car would address the swinging-out-too-far issue for some, but these at the issues that affect me. ... show more

  • Totally worth the money! Totally worth the money!
Recently bought this car seat for my 7month old and I absolutely love it! The car seat was super easy to install and it definitely feels durable and safe. The rotating feature makes getting my son in and out of the car extremely easy. I love the fact that the straps are attached so adjusting them when my son grows is so easy… you don’t need to take the car seat out of the car to adjust the straps! The cooling fabric is awesome and the cup holder is removable to easily wash. There is not one con… we love this car seat! ... show more
