This is a nice gate that I put at the top of a staircase to baby proof it. Once installed, it has a good solid feel and a latch that is both easy to use but feels secure. It was a little tricky to install since you really have to line up both sides very precisely or the gate won't be at the right height to latch on the top and the bottom. There is an adhesive on the backs of the brackets to assist in the placement but none of the adhesive actually stuck to the surfaces. Also, it's hard to line up both ends unless someone else is helping you which was not my case. I actually had to adjust two of the brackets after I set it up to get them in the correct position. Fortunately, the adjustment covered the prior holes that I made. Once it was finished, I am happy with the product. This is one of those DIY projects that is not too hard to do and not too easy to do at the same time. I'm sure this would be the same issue with any similar products so don't let it discourage you from buying this one.

We liked this baby gate so much we ended up buying a second one! It’s incredibly sturdy and gives us great peace of mind knowing it’s truly childproof—honestly, most adults even struggle to figure out how to open it at first. The automatic close feature is a huge plus, especially when your hands are full, and I also love that you can lock it in the open position when needed. It’s a small detail that makes a big difference in everyday use. Installation was fairly easy, and the faux woodgrain design is a nice touch—it blends in really well with our trim instead of looking bulky or out of place. Overall, this is a reliable, well-designed gate that’s both functional and great-looking. Highly recommend!

This gate was mildly confusing for a minute, but I think the instructions are pretty clear. It’s super easy to install. Absolutely love this gate. A lot of baby gates have the little bottom ledge that you kind of have to step over. But we love this one because it doesn’t have any kind of ledge underneath it. It also opens all the way, which is really really nice if you’re trying to move stuff through it. And if it’s closed at all after being opened all the way, it will self close. It does close kind of hard, which makes me nervous so I just like to close it myself. It’s one of the best baby gates we’ve had. And I really recommend it because the kids are not figuring it out at all. You have to lift up a little bit to open it and so it’s nice cause my kids haven’t figured it out. And for anybody that has kids, you know the kids will figure out how to use the gate. I also like that it’s taller so that’s nice as well so the kids can’t climb it. It’s really sturdy and we love it. It doesn’t look weird being in the house at all. And we like the color. It’s just a nice crisp color. It’s not super heavy or bulky. But it’s sturdy. I would really recommend this gate and I think it’s really good for the price.

The gate is good and solid, but the drywall anchors pulled loose the first day. Had to go to town and buy toggle type anchors. After I installed the good tight anchors, the gate would not latch. The directions say lift the gate handle to open, and lift the gate handle to close it. To get it to work I had to lower the bottom latch to where it barely catches, and loosen the screws on the bottom hinge. It works good now. Lift the gate slightly to open, and slam it to shut. When closed, the gate is secure.

Very happy with the gate. It fits in the doorway and we use as a pet gate vs baby gate so didn't attach the bottom extra connector. You can set the height which is nice, so our cat can get under but keep dogs up. It opens easily and swings both ways. My mom with arthritis can open it easily.

This gate works great on our deck to keep the dog contained. It matches the deck railing pretty well and there’s nothing to step over. Much cheaper than a custom gate!

This seems to be a very nice gate. Installation was not too difficult, just have to measure carefully and then measure again. Learn how it operates before starting installation. After installation it seems to work well. I like that it is totally out of the way when open and not in use, almost like it isn't there. My only complaint is that when installed in drywall, the supplied anchors work but don't feel like they are durable enough to handle daily use for the growth time of a child or children. I have a grandchild coming for a few days and I feel that the gate will be fine. If I had growing children, then I would replace the dry wall anchors with heavy duty toggle bolt anchors.
