Over the last year I have purchased 4 of these for baby/ toddler gifts. I would say around 10 -12 months the child can get on alone but needs an older child or adult to push them around. Aside from the Snail being so irresistibly cute, the baby is drawn to putting small toys in the seat compartment and turning the antenna lights on and off by touching them. I got this cute ladybug ride for my daughter and she absolutely loved it. The look of the toy is very cute, especially the antennas. The different lights on the antennas make them look quite colorful. The only thing additional that I expected was the music that plays when you press the balls of the antenna.
