I used to use Bondi Sands tanning oil, but it got to be very costly, so I decided to try B.Tan products (after reading some reviews). I've been using them for about 8 months, regularly since September (when shorts season ended). Here's my take-- PROS- 1. There is a color guide - the product comes out of the bottle this weird green color... Terrified me at first, but I've come to love it, because I can see where I've applied it already. It also helps me see areas where I didn't get it rubbed/spread evenly. 2. The end result (after shower) is beautiful. Very natural looking - not orange or streaky, even on elbows and knees. And if you apply a second coat after you rinse the first one, it will darken as it should. 3. The price - I'm paying 30% of what I was paying for my winter tan last year, and the results are comparable. 4. Long lasting - I tend to apply this 2 or 3x weekly, and it lasts me at least two weeks. CONS- 1. The smell - it's not a "bad" smell, but it's definitely not an ocean breeze. It smells different coming out of the bottle than it does once it's been on your skin for a while. I think it makes me smell almost sweaty. 2. Sometimes not foamy - it seems like some bottles come out as a beautiful shaving-cream-like foam, and some come out looking like melted ice cream. It doesn't seem to change the results, it's more annoying than anything. Good tan either way. Just inconsistent texture.

I really like this product. Gone are the days of orange, streaky and stinky Sudden Tan! I didn’t get the “mit” option but after researching I found latex (or nitrile) disposable gloves work great. No smell and yes to everything everyone else said. No lotion on the skin and exfoliated. Just like nails “prepping is the most important thing”! Very nice color and looks completely real. Great application form (no drips). I’m really happy with this. People are always “scared” of looking silly wearing a fake tan but see it this way; you’re looking out for your skin and you’re getting a natural looking without the threat of wrinkles!

This is hands down the best fake tanner on the market! It doesn't streak, the color is natural looking. You can use it for some quick color in an hour or 2 or you can put it on before bed and leave it overnight for a deep tan. It doesn't transfer and it doesn't stain. Love love love this stuff!

So much better than I expected. I am actually on my second bottle of this product and it is already halfway gone. Everyone in my family tans a lot faster than me so I always feel like I look pale. I started using this once a week. And it has made me feel brighter in my skin actually feels tighter and looks younger. I feel like I’m doing a spa treatment on myself once a week because my skin now feels rejuvenated and has a sun kissed glow. I use an admit to apply the product. You really need to read the instructions first and apply lotion to your feet, hands and knees before you apply this . I've been self-tanning for 30 years. I've tried them all: Cheap. Drug store. Luxury. Stinky. Lovely fragrances. Color guides. Spray. Foam. Clear. White lotion. Gel. Streaky. Uneven fading. Itchy. Bright orange. Too dark. Too pale. You name a brand, I've tried it. I have found a winner. It's b.tan, Clear, Just Act Natural. No color guide coming off on my sheets. No streaking. No fake orange color. Fades evenly. Lasts almost a week. The coconut smells nice, the self-tanner smell does develop as the chemical reaction occurs, but its not strong and easily addressed with fragranced lotions and perfume. Do the prep work of exfoliating and shaving, apply lotion to your hands/feet/knees/elbows ahead of the tan, use disposable surgical gloves to apply, buff into your face/backs of your hands/tops of your feet with a kabuki brush, apply the product to a velour back strap to tan the back, wait 15-20 min and apply lotion again to your hands/feet/knees/elbows, use a big fluffy brush to dust baby powder where your skin touches skin: armpits, inner elbow, back of your knees, hip joint where your legs crease as you sit, and sleep in loose fitting PJs (mine are are a very soft T-shirt material). The next morning you'll have a nice tan. During the week apply lotion every morning and every night to keep moisturized. When you shower use warm water not hot and don't stay in too long because it makes the tan fade more quickly. Use gentle moisturizing soap. I have the routine down and can get it accomplished efficiently. I tan on Sunday night and can get through the 5 day work week, but I generally do it again on Thursday night to get through the weekend to not worry about fading. But honestly I could make this go a week with a minor touch up using a light shade of self-tanner on my face/hands/feet where it starts to wear off sooner. If I don't feel like doing the whole tan again before the week is up I can use a little bronzing powder to spruce up those areas. I'm super pale and have had pre-cancerous lesions removed, and my sister passed away from skin cancer, so I don't lay in the sun and don't get in the tanning bed. I feel better wearing dresses and sandals with some color on my skin so a quality sunless tanner makes me happy. This tanner is excellent. It looks natural on me. The darker shades would look ridiculous on my skin tone. You will need to experiment yourself. Your skin reacts chemically to get the appearance of tan skin so it's a game of chance that I've been playing for 30 years. You learn your own skin and discover tips and tricks on how to make it look better. I mix a rose gold highlighter in with my lotion to give it a little extra glow. I will be buying this again for sure.

Okay this is genuinely one of the best self tanners I’ve ever used. It’s a clear mist, dries fast, no color, no mess, no smell. You can literally spray it before you walk out the door. Because it’s so light you can build it up gradually over a few days and it looks like an actual natural tan without any streaks. This is nothing like any self tanner I’ve tried before. I use it on my arms and legs too at this point, I don’t see a reason to use anything else. One thing though, learn from my mistake. The first time I used it I over-sprayed because it comes out clear and looks like nothing. Big mistake. It developed into a dark, uneven tan. Follow the instructions and do just a few light sprays at a time. Do NOT over saturate. Less is more with this one, trust me.
