I've been self-tanning for 30 years. I've tried them all: Cheap. Drug store. Luxury. Stinky. Lovely fragrances. Color guides. Spray. Foam. Clear. White lotion. Gel. Streaky. Uneven fading. Itchy. Bright orange. Too dark. Too pale. You name a brand, I've tried it. I have found a winner. It's b.tan, Clear, Just Act Natural. No color guide coming off on my sheets. No streaking. No fake orange color. Fades evenly. Lasts almost a week. The coconut smells nice, the self-tanner smell does develop as the chemical reaction occurs, but its not strong and easily addressed with fragranced lotions and perfume. Do the prep work of exfoliating and shaving, apply lotion to your hands/feet/knees/elbows ahead of the tan, use disposable surgical gloves to apply, buff into your face/backs of your hands/tops of your feet with a kabuki brush, apply the product to a velour back strap to tan the back, wait 15-20 min and apply lotion again to your hands/feet/knees/elbows, use a big fluffy brush to dust baby powder where your skin touches skin: armpits, inner elbow, back of your knees, hip joint where your legs crease as you sit, and sleep in loose fitting PJs (mine are are a very soft T-shirt material). The next morning you'll have a nice tan. During the week apply lotion every morning and every night to keep moisturized. When you shower use warm water not hot and don't stay in too long because it makes the tan fade more quickly. Use gentle moisturizing soap. I have the routine down and can get it accomplished efficiently. I tan on Sunday night and can get through the 5 day work week, but I generally do it again on Thursday night to get through the weekend to not worry about fading. But honestly I could make this go a week with a minor touch up using a light shade of self-tanner on my face/hands/feet where it starts to wear off sooner. If I don't feel like doing the whole tan again before the week is up I can use a little bronzing powder to spruce up those areas. I'm super pale and have had pre-cancerous lesions removed, and my sister passed away from skin cancer, so I don't lay in the sun and don't get in the tanning bed. I feel better wearing dresses and sandals with some color on my skin so a quality sunless tanner makes me happy. This tanner is excellent. It looks natural on me. The darker shades would look ridiculous on my skin tone. You will need to experiment yourself. Your skin reacts chemically to get the appearance of tan skin so it's a game of chance that I've been playing for 30 years. You learn your own skin and discover tips and tricks on how to make it look better. I mix a rose gold highlighter in with my lotion to give it a little extra glow. I will be buying this again for sure.

I’ve bought this self tanner multiple times and overall I really like it. The fact that it’s clear is one of the main reasons I keep repurchasing it. It doesn’t transfer onto clothes or sheets, and it develops into a really natural-looking tan. I’ve noticed it tends to stick and develop a little better on my legs than on my upper body, but the color still turns out nice overall. One thing I really appreciate is how it fades. It wears off pretty evenly and doesn’t get patchy or splotchy like a lot of self tanners do. The only thing I’ve noticed is that every bottle I’ve purchased hasn’t been completely clear when it comes out. It’s always had a slight tint, which makes me think some of the bottles might be a bit older. It still works well, but it’s something to be aware of if you’re expecting it to be totally clear.

This really works well. Be sure to follow directions shower and exfoliate and apply with a tanning mitt. I did have some areas that I did not do smoothly or overlap and you could tell but it was not a big deal and it was so worth it to go from a horrible, ugly pale white to a olive colored tan. I did not wash mine off in four hours. In fact, I did not wash it off until the next day. The tan last for at least two weeks, maybe longer.

The tan is good. It's sticky, says to wash inshore after 1 hour so I would rather use a lotion i don't have to wash. Smells sort of like coconut, which I don't like, but doesn't smell bad like some tanners.

I tried Just act natural and I did leave on for just an hour, didn't see any results...couldn't leave on any longer, oh my God the smell was getting to me, I was nauseous. It smells like cheap suntan lotion - coconut and cotton candy is the best way I can describe it. Maybe it would've worked if I kept it on longer but then I would've been vomiting. I'd like to know which ones are fragrance free because maybe I would try it again but I literally just washed $15 down the drain. Tried to return it and they literally want me to bring an open package to an Amazon drop off, can't be bothered.
