That may be because of conditions beyond the machines capabilities. The only negative is the switching. It is electronic. I like this dehumidifier very much. I bought it for my Grooming shop which is very damp and smells like-well- like a wet dog when you walk in. Ever since I bought this item it doesn’t smell like that anymore. It’s great! I drain it into a 5 gallon bucket and it’s usually half full when I come in in the morning. The bottom pump falls out looks like a broken screw but it’s not fixable. Tried calling b-air multiple time and let messages haven’t returned any phone call or messages in over a week. It will cost so much to return this time. Do not buy from this company!
