  • Mostly works
Seems to work decently so far. Two caveats: The quick release coupler was very stiff. Also, the over-pressure release valve was leaking. I removed it to examine it. Unfortunately, I cracked the release valve with my pliers. Not sure if it was operator error, or it's too weak. It works reasonably well, so I'm just going to replace the valve. ... show more

  • Avoid, poor quality control, if any, some concerning design elements.
The media could not be loaded. Zero stars. Garbage. If you can't test something before you ship it, you shouldn't be in business. So, yes, it's quiet, super quiet in fact, and I was so excited to have something for my needs that didn't require hearing protection, but then ironically I heard something very quiet; the quiet hiss of leaking air. At first I thought it just might be a loose connection but then I placed my finger over the weld from the tank to the fitting. There is a visible hole in the weld that is leaking air from the tank. Beyond forgivable. Also of note, the air tank contained a ridiculous amount of tiny metal beads, presumably from welding. These, of course, came blasting at my face when I opened the drain valve at the bottom. I might point out that this is a quarter-turn ball valve and it's fantastic in of itself. But dang, getting a face full of shot was not pleasant. Then, there is the electrical cord. It goes into the pressure regulator and has no real cord strain relief. It is merely a rubber grommet and nothing more. The only thing preventing the cord from pulling out is that it is zip tied to the other wires internally. But give it a good yank and you may have a bad day. The air connection is not great at all, in fact, I tried to remove it to put one of my own on but I couldn't even get it to budge. I would have destroyed it for sure if I pressed further, so I stopped trying and eventually got my fitting to work. There may have been something in it that prevented me at first, such as a blast of micro metal balls that got stuck in there... If you buy this, quality inspections prior to shipping are unlikely and you are gambling. The quality of the materials and build are lacking. The only thing I was impressed with was how quiet it actually is. What a shame. ... show more

  • Wiring is terrible
This compressor works well, but there are a few issues. It's a compact, dense unit, so it doesn't take up much space under the workbench or in the back of the truck. Also, I like that it has an excellent handle that makes it easier to get around. Some care needs to be taken with the rubber feet, though, as they seem prone to getting beat up. In use, the compressor is quiet, and I like that the motor has a deeper, slower pitch. There's no need for hearing protection with this unit, as I can carry on a conversation right next to it and hardly have to raise my voice. More troubling though is the wiring. The power cord is chewed up, with the inner wires exposed. And, this cord doesn't have any sort of strain relief, and the inner wires are exposed on both sides of the switch too. There appears to be some sort of grommet on each side, but the outer insulation has been cut back way too far, so the grommets don't clamp to the cord. Also, the wiring between the switch and the motor has what looks like heat shrink tubing that hasn't been heated up to shrink. Plus, the power cord is routed down under the compressor, and it's impossible to get it out of there without rewiring the whole cord. It's really a shame to see sloppy work ruin an otherwise good tool. ... show more

  • Whoa... compact, fast, and the cat's purr
I can't say enough of praise right now for this compressor. I'm amazed at how quiet it is - literally, just a purr of sound. It charges crazy fast, doesn't dance around the floor, and I'm not sure it could be easier to set up and use - basically no installation steps other than the little muffler (and it's not very loud without that FYI). For it's size, it's surprisingly heavy, but not so much that I'd say that's a negative at all - just very heavy for how compact it is (and heavy in such things always gives me piece of mind - telling me this isn't cheaply made). Crazy good value for the cost - seriously great. Does not come with any air hoses or attachments. power cable is not very long, but all in all I'm telling anyone interested this is a well hidden gem of a compressor a much less money than the box stores are selling them for. ... show more

  • Quick to build pressure and quiet!
The media could not be loaded. I am very pleased with this compressor, it is nice and quiet. I have to say I was surprised. It built up pressure quickly. Takes up a small low low-profile footprint. And it is very comfortable to carry resting against your hip or your leg. When you're carrying it, it is well balanced. This is now my favorite portable compressor. The finish looks good the color is nice. The vibration seems minimal and does not want to dance around like some do. I am very happy with this compressor. I don't think that I've had another compressor that reached 90 PSI as quickly as this one did. ... show more

  • good
This is a good air compressor. It is quick to fill and easy to use. The unit itself is a bit heavy but worked well for the small projects that I use it for. Overall, I am satisfied with this compressor.

  • Very much like the makita but 1/2 the cost
This is actually a great compressor for its cost. I have the makita that I leave in the storage room for blowing up bike tires. I wanted another to use for air tools on site to save me pulling out the big compressor. This fills just as quickly as the makita, about the same size, very close in sound level, very similar styling. Overall it’s a good little compressor. ... show more
