I am a complete beginner first time ever trying this and I feel like anyone can do this. I strongly suggest very thin coat. Make sure you wipe off the brush that you're using and putting the base coat on and make sure that you use the brush to wipe off all excess powder in between each layer. Make sure your hands are dry and your nails have been properly prepped.. The prep should be the filing is done first cuticles everything taken care of make sure there's no oils on your nails so maybe take a little alcohol wipe and clean them off but make sure they thoroughly dried and you can do 2 to 3 coats depending on your preference but definitely do very thin cost and clean the base coat brush off between each layer. I have not tried the Matt topcoat yet but hope to shortly. The other topcoat worked really nice shiny held up well. I have them on about a week and so far as the polish stay beautifully.. I tried the darker mauve and gray the very first time when I did it and I feel I did better with mauve then gray for some reason so I took the gray off and just used the mauve. When I took the grey off, I soaked the nail polish remover on a cotton ball and put clips on my nails until dissolved, but that's really not great for your nails so the next time I remove my nail polish what I'm going to do is heat water up in a bowl Then put the acetone nail polish remover in a Ziploc bag with a cotton put the bag in the heated water and soap for about 10 minutes and that will dissolve it much better and be better for my nails . I will be putting in coconut oil to help. Keep my nails nice but that isn't necessary..Having said that the polish did come off easier than gel polish for sure. The package I purchased was the one with gray a few pinks and light beige (my only regret was a part of the colors in this particular set of very similar so I wish I had bought with a bigger variety )but I plan on buying a bigger set with Blue green and a bigger variety. Anyone can do this if you take your time don't rush it do one day at a time and then move onto the next. My suggestion is I leave about a half hour to an hour set aside to do your nails and take your time on each now and I don't think you regret buying this and you won't record the time because the more time you take putting it on and doing it right the longer it will rest. Remembe...prep nails properly, thin coats, no more than three dips and you're good to go!

1st time i did my own nails with this dip set. I like mine kinda thick so I just kept redipping in powder like 4 times each nail. Some ppl thought I went to nailshop but I could see some flaws but practice makes perfect. So I'll keep practicing til I get there but for now this is how it looked. I need to learn how to file & shape a little better but im akso right handed so my right hand didn't look as good bcuz I was trying to do these best I cud with left hand. Lol. Also 1 of the pinks& 1 of the blue was not true to color in which it did not truly look like the color advertised or shown in pic but it was still nice. I did take some reviews advice... place a white sheet of paper underneath the powder to catch whatever may fall & then place it back in jar wen done. This lil tip really helped& saved my powder. (Fyi, Used a piece of computer paper & kinda folded together to funnel bk in jar)was easy. Nail designs was separate but bought off here on Anazon for $5-7; just used modelones clear 7-1 builder gel to hold nail decor, & decor never moved, bails lasted about 2- 3 weeks but bcuz I wash dishes almost daily, full time mom of 3 toddlers 3-6y.o& cleaning daily so using gloves could help when washing dishes or using alot of water or heavy cleaning. The media could not be loaded. I just got my kit and used it for the first time. I can’t wait to see all the beautiful colors. It was kind of a guessing game because you get so many what to try first. I’m sure there is somewhere on their website you can look up what numbers go to each color. This is an amazing “trial set”. I could probably get 50 uses out of the dipping powders if I like all of them. The only I need to re-order are the basecoat activator and topcoat. I can probably only get three sets out of what they sent. But as I said, I just paid for the kit with one use!

Decided to buy this kit to learn how to do my nails since everything has gone up. While I love the colors and learned quickly how to apply, unfortunately I will have to discontinue using the kit due to terrible respiratory allergic reactions when I have used this. To anyone who doesn’t suffer from allergies all year round like I do, this kit is very beginner friendly and easy to use. It last and holds up well and I’m constantly working with my hands. It’s a shame I would have to stop using do to my sensitivity to whatever is in this. Really red eyes, itchy nose, throat and coughing along with watery eyes are not worth me risking it. Other than that I would recommend if you are not an allergy sufferer.

I’m in my mid thirties and have struggled with maintaining polished, professional looking nails for the last 10-15 years. I don’t have the time or the financial means to get regular manicures. I use my hands a lot, so even when I would splurge on one, they’d never last long. Regular polish would chip within a day and leave my hands looking unsightly. I tried at-home gel kits and even bought a mini UV lamp, but the lengthy process was often too time consuming. I’d always be in such a rush that my nails would come out looking horrible or the gel wouldn’t activate properly. A friend of mine mentioned dip powder and in researching it, I read that it’s more eco friendly, stronger, and longer lasting than gel, therefore better for anyone who uses their hands professionally. I thought I would have to go to a salon for dip, but then I saw this product. I have to say that I’m blown away by how easy, affordable, and effective this kit is!
