So I just did my own nails. Put some almond shaped tips and did the dip powder. They came out so great! (I’m shocked they came out so great on my first try! 😂) Can’t wait to see how long they last! Also, quick tip. I used to do my own acrylic nails with the monomer and that was a lot harder to do. I accidentally got the dip powder on my skin around the nails and on my cuticles (just like acrylic nails). When I first taught myself, I used to file the crap out of them. I had to do that again but it worked out perfectly! I’m obsessed! I thought I may need to redo them but nope! Worked out so well! They feel so strong and very pretty! I did the blue for my dad’s first birthday since he passed. That’s one of his favorite colors. Thank you again!

I don't like any dip liquids. But this was the first set I've tried and I love their powders. Even after using other brands like Revel and Rossi, Azure has some of the smoothest powders I've ever used. The liquids, I only used them a couple times, were pretty easy to use. I had no issues with chipping. I just don't care for the smell and how finicky dip liquids can be with contamination.

Love some of the colors

Overall works well for the price but know the colors aren’t exactly true to color. They run on the lighter side than what the picture shows even with 3 coats and a clear coat on top. Some are a different shade than what the picture shows. It would also be nice to have the powder come in wider containers so it’s easier to dip. The brushes are very small so I bought the brush set separately but kept both and rotate between the two. The top coat tends to pick up activator super easily for some reason, even after it’s dry. The brushes definitely need cleaning after each use despite keeping everything separate. But I’ve found that true of other brands too. Overall it’s a decent kit to start off with.

Is this kit as good as getting your nails professionally done? No. Nail techs, went to school for this, have certificates and have access to better products. Is this kit worth the money? 100%, YES. It takes practice, time and precision. You need to gradually and thinly build the dip out on the nail in about 3 layers (file off excess hanging over nail/ on skin between layers and definitely before activator). nail prep and a good dehydrator (70% Isopropyl alcohol works well for me) are important. Nail prep is key. I have been using this brand for 5-ish years with varying results but feel I have finally perfected, even having others asking me to do their nails whom go to professionals. This kit is worth the investment, even if your nails aren’t perfect the first few times. I’m a perfectionist and can always find flaws when I have my nails professionally done. If I do them myself, I can at least learn to correct my mistakes and get better results.
