  • Worth the Price
I ordered this for my elderly Mother who was beginning to experience falls. This chair is lightweight and really works! You will need to be able to get the person on the floor up onto the chair seat, which is about 2 inches high. It lifts very smoothly to a sitting position.

  • Great product and works really well.
This is a great product if you have to take care of older people. It is nice to have just in case they have a fall or have a hard time getting up. I just wish it was a little lighter or had something you could add to roll it around. But anyway it does work really well and it is a lot safer if you have to lift someone up. ... show more

  • I’ve fallen and I can’t get up well you can now.
My husband and I are both getting older. We’re in our late 70s. Our balance has been really bad lately. I have fallen several times. I have total knee placement in both knees and I cannot kneel to get up if I fall. I’m like a turtle on my back. I found this chair on Amazon and a lightbulb went on. That’s just what I need. I didn’t order it right away thinking oh I have time but having fallen on Mother’s Day while cleaning a grill outside, I turned too quickly hit a small divot in the yard and fell again. My husband came outside and said please order that chair. I did thank God I did. It’s been a lifesaver. My husband cannot lift me up. He has a bad shoulder. This chair is remarkable. You can take it anywhere. You just slide onto it press the remote control and you’re up into a full size chair off the ground so you can stand. You don’t have to call paramedics to come and lift you off the ground. It’s a hey very well-made piece of equipment worth every penny even if it saves you one call to professionals to come and get you off the floor it’s worth it. Don’t wait like I did have it handy before you fall. It will giveyou great peace of mind knowing that it’s there if you need it. ... show more

  • Fall help -- back-up option
Over the past few years, I have been living with my parents as their caregiver. There have been a handful of times that one of them "slides" down to the floor (legs give out.... thankfully, not a hard fall). But neither can get up easily from the floor so we have to call 911 for assistance. I saw this lift device and thought it might be a good alternative to seven paramedics arriving at the house if the fall was not a bad one. First, this was fairly easy to put together, but as the instructions state, you must apply some pressure to snap the back into place. It wasn't a lot of pressure, but I'm not sure my parents could have assembled this on their own without getting on the floor. Next, I charged it for about half an hour and it worked. The instructions state to charge for 12 hours, which I did the next day, but it was good to know that if the charge was low, it could be plugged in and working fairly quickly in an emergency. I saw other reviews mention not being able to plug in to use, but you don't want an electrical connection when using in a bathtub so the charging makes sense for this device. It's fairly lightweight and easy for me to move, but would not be something my parents would be able to move easily. I envision leaving this tucked away under a bed or couch unless needed. If I'm not in the house, I would leave it out and ready to use in the bedroom. If I am in the house, I can grab it and take it to where it's needed. The raising and lowering is smooth, slow but steady. I used it on a low pile carpet and felt like it could tilt over to the side of the user is not seated on it properly, but I had no issues with it tilting. The seat flaps are fine for when the seat is on the ground, but once the seat goes up, I told my parents under no circumstances should they try to sit on the white seat flaps. They feel like they could easily break off under weight. I do worry once the seat is raised, they might try to slide off the side instead of getting up from the front. Part of the challenge is getting my parents from a laying down position into a seated position so they can "scoot" onto the seat. Neither wants to "try" it right now so I will have to wait for the next fall. I used it repeatedly and felt like it will work great if my parents are able to get in an upright seated position on the floor and then can scoot themselves onto the chair. I am not sure they can use this without some assistance. For someone who has some strength but needs help into/out of a bathtub, this would be fantastic. The price (less than $350 at the time of the review) is reasonable for this medical assistance device. ... show more

  • Perfect item to help someone up from the floor or in and out of a tub.
The way the backrest attaches needs a liitle improvement. Otherwise very happy with it's operation and portability.

  • Lift assistant from floor and bath
It is a great lift system for individuals needing lifting assistance from floor and bath. It also helps with recovery from falls. It is very strengthy and stable. • Well Built and easy to use
The lift is well built and has a 300lb limit. I don't have anyone that heavy to test with, I will assume the limit is accurate. The plastic and metal build is solid and is very stable, there are large suction cups on the bottom to keep the lift from moving when lifting patients out of a tub or on a wet floor. The battery is in the hand controller and takes 2-3 hours to charge at 20 watts. The controller connection has a cap to keep moisture out of the cable and allows for quick connect\disconnect of the controller. The lift folds down to a very compact size, so it is easy to transport. There are side flaps to transfer the patients to and from a tub, bed or chair. The device is very simple to assemble, transport and use a good choice for homecare. ... show more
