The box these came in was surprisingly heavy, so we were impressed before we ever even got them installed. Our old transom tie downs for our pontoon boat had hooks on both ends and didn’t even ratchet; they just locked down with a flip over mechanism after you adjusted them tight-ish. These let you actually crank on them. My husband didn’t realize that these required mounting. He had to figure out exactly where and how to mount them to the boat trailer. That’s an ordeal I wasn’t personally involved in, so to me judging on their usability now, they’re five stars. I think he’d ding them a star for the annoyance factor, but the listing describes them as bolt-on so I say that’s on him. Just realize that they MUST be bolted on before you buy them, and have a plan.

Used these tiedowns to replace my old ones on my boat trailer that were years old. These are significantly easier to operate and get snug. Can be loosened by hand without a ton of power, but will stay secure without worry of slipping. Great product! highly recommended.

I use this to lock the front of my boat down on the trailer. They come with a high quality stainless bolt. I drilled a hole in the trailer and attached it with the bolt. My only complaint so far is that the release is strange. Usually when you lift a ratchet strap Handle it will totally release, this model you have to lift the handle then pull the lock up With your other hand and it's not obvious where the lock is located.

I had a set of these on a trailer for my SeaDoo and thought it would be good to have a spare set, possibly for our small sailboat trailer. They were larger than I expected... definitely made for bigger boats and not just PWCs and small aluminum fishing boats. They are hefty and should secure a boat quite well.

Not even a week after purchasing the retractability of one of the straps failed. In other words it will not retract and i have no way of winding back up. Very disappointed.

This boat tiedown is a very sturdy ratcheting strap. It is physically bigger than an OEM Ranger boat tiedown for a similar 2" strap. The mounting bolt and hole are also bigger. It will still work on a RangerTrail with a smaller bolt and a washer. The plastic button is for the spring assist rewind. I'm not sure how that plastic button will hold up overtime but I'm going to mount these on the trailer and reuse the OEM ones to replace the cover strap tiedown I lost.

My ratings range from 1 star to 5 stars, depending on how well the product meets our needs and expectations. These rachet straps appear to be very well made and are very sturdy. I am using these for motorcycle tie downs on my trailer and so far they are working fine. I wish they were a little longer like maybe 8-10ft, but not a huge deal. It might just give more options on how you mount things. Like one other person mentioned, the return spring is a bit weak as you can see in my video but it does work. They do seem a bit pricey for what you get though. I hope these tie downs lasts me a long time, but I will update my review should I have any trouble with them in the future. Thank you for reading! The media could not be loaded. The straps are surprisingly high-quality and heavy duty. Will make a perfect strap for my John boat trailer. Since it comes in a two pack, I plan on using the other in my barn and rigging it up as a hoist for small engines when I’m working on them. Very easy to install as it only takes one bolt. Very easy to use as well and performs exactly as advertised, see my video.
